My husband and I hadn’t eaten here in a few years and today we quickly remembered why. Overpriced and skimpy portions. My pizza puff looked slightly burnt and my steak taco contained almost no steak, mostly lettuce. They have an odd sign on the door about free soup but when we inquired about it we were quickly denied with a very silly excuse about it not being cold enough outside. Needless to say with so many other option, we certainly won’t be back again.

I’ve never had a bad experience with Dimitri’s best food, been a customer for 5 years. I’ve always ordered by phone and picked up food from here. Owner and employee s are kind and have always gotten it right, from the deep fried food to the homemade soup..the gyros..so many good options to choose from. The prices are reasonable considering we are living in 2025 economy.

I’ve been a loyal customer to Dimitri’s best food since 2019 and this was the most disappointing experience! Many people probably don’t order the 3piece Whitefish Dinner and maybe it was old?? But the fish & the fries were simply un edible*
It was almost as if the fish had been *soaked* in grease previous to being fried. This was my experience at both Dimitri locations (Chicago Heights & Frankfort).
I really do hope that a change will happen soon. Because when this fish is fried right it’s a hidden gem and a 10/10

The food is good, and I’ve been coming here for a few years now. However, I think more attention needs to be given to cleanliness. Food should not be prepared with the same gloves that were just used to handle cash and change — that’s extremely unsanitary. I also shouldn’t have to point that out. Please be more mindful of proper hygiene practices.

I got a beef sandwich from here and it tasted like the frozen pack that you get from the grocery store. The people working there weren’t very friendly either. The one in Frankfort is better.

I always order the white fish dinner, it’s pretty basic three pieces of fish large portion of fries couple pieces of bread hot sauce and tartar sauce. It’s always on point. That’s what keeps me coming back. Three pieces of fish come in the order and they’re huge!
