I found The Dankery while looking for restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina. The two gentlemen who were present were very nice. The food was fantastic. I got the shrimp and my partner selected the wings with honey chipotle sauce and queso fries. Our food was seasoned well and the queso was wonderful. Overall, great experience.

This was my first time at The Dankery after seeing it on TiktlTok and Instagram and I gotta say it wasn’t to bad. Me and my wife got down there around 10pm and it seemed pretty dead so no wait to put an order. Waited maybe about 20 min for our food not to bad. Total came out to around $31. She got the wing tray, I got chicken & queso sub.

Real quick shout out to Ivan and his coworker for being straight-up and super helpful and friendly.

So got the food. It wasnt too bad, the sub was pretty good (liked the queso) but I wish it had some peppers.
I got to try wings, they were REALLY good. The wife got Lemon Pepper dry rub on them, a little on the sweet side but it still slapped. Fries were ur standard state fair kind, we didnt get it smothered with anything so ur milage may vary when adding that. Speaking on that we didn’t really get a sauce so I can’t comment on that, but the lemon pepper is pretty good.

So as far as price, I felt the Sub Tray was fair, I mean I’d spend that much at Chipotle and get about the same amount of food so it checks out to me . The wings however, while they were extremely good 6 wings for $15 is extremely high imo and even though I like the one I ate, I’d be hard pressed to pay for them at that price.

The spot inside is interesting, gives sort of a “closing for the night” club vibe, got a one tv in the back with some couches. Not super welcoming feel but honestly it not a big deal but felt I should share.

All and all, The Dankery is a pretty standard fried food affair. While we only got 2 different items with no extras or dessert, I feel that, that may be the best way to go about enjoying this place. Keep it simple. Food isn’t to die for, but u get ur money’s worth (wings debatable).

Thats my review but i do have 2 things to add. One for the owner, and one for online orderers.

For the Owner, it was concerning to see one of ur guys not wearing non-slip shoes especially being around a fryer and also I didn’t see the sanitation score, highly, HIGHLY suggest you fix those.

And for those that order online especially late at night. THIS ISNT AN EXCUSE, but do know that ordering any food around Raleigh late at night is a game of roulette. Sometimes its what u ordered, sometimes its not. Sometimes the food is hot and tasty, sometimes it seems like it was left in the cold and has no salt. Idk what it is about ordering Doordash but its just so damn inconsistent and The Dankery isn’t the only one thats suffers from this and certainly wont be the last. Also the pricing on Doordash is ATROCIOUS! Again the food is fine but paying DoorDash prices sadly makes this not worth. So if u gonna order Doordash at 1am, waiting over an hour and half and paying $20 for 6 wings, do be realistic with yourself.

Initial contact wasn’t exactly welcoming. Guy was nonchalant. My boyfriend & I total came up to $65. After tapping his car, the cashier just so happened to remember that they were “out of crab.” crazy to remember after payment has been made. Anyways, we were told that we would be texted when the food was ready. Well after waiting 40 minutes… we went back inside & he said it was ready. The food wasn’t exciting. My fries were burnt so $65 for 9 wings, 4 tenders, two orders of burnt fries andddd NINE DOLLARS for banana pudding (tenders were okay, & he liked the wings). The floor was wet and a customer slipped and fell. No wet floor signs. lol. Nothing like The Dankery food truck from Durham. This was terrible. 0/10

I’ve known the owner for a few years now. A bright, energetic and very pleasant young man.
My son has been going to the Dankery since the food truck days and has always raved about the place.
I finally had an opportunity to go after a night out on the town. The food was very well prepared and tasted great! The sandwich had a healthy portion of well seasoned, fresh meat that went very well with the fries. Overall very well prepared, good portion size and very good quality food, especially considering how late it was. The guys working were very friendly, informative and had a great attitude.
We will continue to visit the Dankery! The food was great and the staff were friendly making for a great over all experience . It’s easy to support our younger generation who throw everything they have into the positive things they envision for themselves and the public at large.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

The Dankery’s food hits every time. It’s easily one of the best spots around when you’re craving something loaded and flavorful, but it can be a little pricey. The only downside is the service can be a bit slow sometimes, especially late at night, so you might be waiting a while.

Don’t order from this place if you’re vegetarian or vegan. Especially over Door Dash!!! It’s a game of Russian Roulette. I’ve now had 3 experiences where they’ve been out of their vegan nuggets and have just thrown me whatever they want. They do not reach out. They do not cancel the order. Every order I’ve placed has been accepted immediately, probably something the owner or manager has implemented as I know other establishments won’t accept my order right away and will actually CALL ME if they’re out of something! First time they pulled this crap they sent me regular nuggets. Second time they accepted the order and then they had the friggin DASHER reach out to me instead of calling me or cancelling the order themselves. It took over half an hour for them to cancel it on their end and I had to reach out to support. Third time they just gave me a pile of soggy fries and wrote on the container that they were out of the nuggets. Again, no contact. No cancellations. I had to go through Door Dash to get my money back. I also found a hair in my fries this time????? Just, don’t order from this place. It’s not worth it. I gave it a try because it was one of the the few cheap junk food vegan items in the area, and now I see why. Don’t order from them. Do not give them your business.

I ordered door dash last night. Ordered the Cajun crawfish and queso fries. When the driver got to the restaurant they told her, they did not have any more crawfish. Okay, fine, so the person she was talking to asked. If I wanted wings or tenders, I said, tenders, so when my order got to me, I only had fries in my food tray. So tell me why.
That whoever she was talking to specifically asked what I wanted and still didn’t get what I wanted

Let me go ahead and bless this place with the 5 stars it absolutely deserves, because The Dankery really had me questioning every other meal I’ve ever eaten in my life. First off, massive shoutout to Seth and Reece — the dynamic duo holding the place together like they’re running a secret culinary mission.

I walked in thinking I was just grabbing some food… little did I know I was walking straight into a flavor renaissance. The energy in there was so good I legit looked around to see if they hired a vibe coordinator.

And even though I KNOW they didn’t actually do this, the service was so on point it felt like somebody in the back said a prayer over my order before handing it to me. I halfway expected Reece to come out wearing a superhero cape, and Seth to stamp my bag like “Certified Delicious — Approved by Upper Management.”

At one point I mentioned I was starving, and Seth looked like he was two seconds away from giving me a motivational talk about perseverance until the food came out. That’s the kind of support you don’t get anywhere else.

The wings? Straight-up legendary. The fries? Crunchy like they passed a quality inspection with a sound test. The sauce? Whoever created it needs a national holiday.

Overall, 5 stars with no hesitation. If you haven’t been to The Dankery yet, go ahead and make that trip — and make sure you show love to Seth and Reece because they’re really out here bringing the whole experience to life.

We enjoyed our food, there was a bit of a long wait but we were catching up with our friends from out of town so we didn’t mind it too too much.
There were a lot of people already waiting ahead of us; it was a busy Friday night.

The cashier was pretty cool and was patient with my indecisive self.

The banana pudding was really good.

The music was a little too loud to conversate without raising our voices.

Overall I enjoyed my first time here and may try again next time we are on that side of town
