I stopped here on my way out of San Diego with a six hour drive ahead. I was seated immediately. I ordered the Strawberry waffle. The waffle was good and the strawberries were fresh, which is always a plus at a diner. They are a bit pricey for what they are. Their parking and access to the highway is super convenient.

Hadn’t been here in a while and went for breakfast. So delicious and fresh! Their breakfast potatoes were yummy! The bagels seemed freshly baked. Our food and service was great.

Cute cafe! We had a very large group and the staff was very helpful to help our tables expand and very polite all around. Breakfast was good, a little on the higher priced size. I would definitely recommend if youre passing through

Very small place, but more space outside. Food was excellent! We had a classic eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, and hash. Everyone was pleased. Service was friendly, but there was only one server, so it took some time to get started. But it was worth the wait!

Convenient to the highway. Off the 8 Café is tucked away in the back corner of a little plaza. After a pregame donut next door i had the pumpkin pecan waffle. It was great. I did it without the sweet drizzle. Orange juice was good. The only negative was the undercooked hash-browns.

Absolutely fantastic breakfast food. Everything was cooked exceptionally well with a very satisfying portion to price ratio. Service here is also very strong, and friendly to boot!

Off the 8 cafe in Alpine, CA, wasn’t sure but what a great cafe and food was delicious. The sausage taste original and not like any other I’ve tasted and large coffee cups were a plus. The staff and level of service was fantastic and communicated well with my mom’s Spanglish. Very sweet young caring staff. ❤️

As we headed out of San Diego we decided to stop for some breakfast in Alpine. We stumbled onto this little Gem. We were seated right away and received our drink order right away. The waitress was very friendly took care of our needs. The food came out hot and delicious. Now the one drawback is that this place is small so I wouldn’t plan on bringing to many people with you. But I do recommend stopping in and trying them out.

We enjoyed a very nice brunch here recently. There was outdoor seating available which was nice but small. We opened the large umbrella over the little table at some point to keep it out of my son’s face. When closed, the bottom edge was too close for comfort and convo. My son ordered the country fried steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Although we both thought the gravy could have had more sausage, the biscuits and gravy were pretty delicious. I didn’t try the steak but he loved it. My meal of chicken and waffles was quite tasty. The bone-in chicken was incredíbly crispy, large, and delicious. The waffle was cooked to perfection, also with great crispness and a lovely golden brown color. The details I longed for, maple syrup and browned butter, were not present. The lovely waffle was a bit lacking in flavor. Still, the food earns a solid 4 stars and minor adjustments could bring more. Service was friendly.
