Mahi Mahi was overcooked. Fried seafood platter was overcooked with old grease. Seasoned terribly. Hamburger was overcooked ad well. Waitress delivered 2 meals, 5 minutes later received 3rd meal. Did not see her again until we hunted her down to pay. Do not recommend.

The music was oldies and was loud enough to hear, but not blaring. Conversation was easy over the music.
Service was great.
The food???
I am a bit of a Salmon snob. I don’t remember when I have had better salmon.
The salmon was fresh and flaky. I know when salmon has been frozen and this salmon certainly has NOT been frozen.
It was tasty, nicely seasoned and grilled just right. The sides were very nice, as well.
Great experience and I will be back!

me and my wife, was hungry. and I came up here to fish hooks and they cooked me. Some shrimp and the kitchen had been closed 10 minutes and they opened it back up just for me and they cooked me some shrimp and it was on fire. That was nice. I put mustard on my shrimp and that stuff was good, okay. And the owner Mr Everett that he’s so nice he answered every concern and question i had. he was real patient and very knowledgeable he explainedto me the process of the situation and in great detail provided me with the knowledge of everything thing thatvwas going on I’m i’m definitely coming back and i highly suggest giving this place a try. u won’t be be disappointed . and I will recommend it to all my friends.

My husband and I decided to give Fish Hooks a try for the first time. It was a BIG mistake. We arrived around 5 or a little after. There were 2 other tables that arrived after us and they received their food before us. We didn’t get pur food until after 6. My husband ordered the red snapper grilled with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the grilled shrimp with onion rings and fried okra. We both asked for very light seasoning on both the fish and shrimp. They both came out very salty and peppery. That taste stayed with you, it burned. The green beans tasted like they opened up a can and put it in a bowl. They were cold. The menu on Google doesn’t match the menu in the restaurant. There’s a little of things they don’t have.

After reading the false great reviews we decided to try Fish Hooks. We were not greeted when we walked in, we sat down as the only customers in the room. Unclean atmosphere, service was horrible, after trying to order several things that they were out of we should have left. Food was also terrible.
It’s more of a pool hall and bar scene. The waitress was obviously more concerned with the men hanging out at the bar and playing pool. She never once checked on us.
Terrible experience! Will never go back.

Where shall I begin? Stood waiting to even be acknowledged by a hostess for quite some time, then were told hurriedly that they only had “that table over there” as she pointed to a table in the corner, no problem, that table was fine for us. We were seated and given two very different menus, after a fair amount of time had passed our orders were taken, the food didn’t take too long in the grand scheme of things but we both ordered the same thing and his arrived cold and raw in the middle, so we sent it back, were told it would be 8 minutes then it never came back but we were presented with a bill to which I advised the waitress it was inappropriate to hand me a bill for a meal we had yet to receive back, we asked that it just be taken off and we would be on our way to then have someone return and say it would be another 4 minutes and again we said don’t worry about it. We failed to receive an updated bill so I proceeded to the check out to which I explained to the cashier what was going on. She was not very friendly and left us to wait for the waitress to check out. The green beans were good but not good enough to return

Tried Fish Hooks tonight and our overall assessment was that it is very good, worth a return trip in the future. We were seated immediately at about 5:45 p.m. They were busy but not crowded at that time. I had Gator Tail appetizer and found them to be as good as I have had elsewhere. I topped that off with a shrimp poboy and fries. The shrimp poboy was delicious and the fries were well, fries. Sweet tea was excellent. My wife said her chicken fingers, sweet potato fries and green beans were all very good. All food came out in a timely fashion and piping hot. While the wait person could have been a little attentive, overall it was an enjoyable dining experience.

I enjoyed a afternoon there. I had a dozen oysters on the half shell, 1/2 pound of Cajun peal and eat shrimp and a couple of draft beers. The oysters were fresh and ice cold, the shrimp were large and seasoned to perfection, and the draft beer was served in a very large frosted mug. Service was good. As good as I have loved AJ’s in Albany, Its just too risky to drive over there to the thug city . Keep up the good work Fish Hooks. RE Smith

Food was not worth what I paid. For the price I wish it was better. Fried pickles where very greasy. The grilled shrimp was salty. And I am not one for fried foods. The cole slaw was soupy and the grits could have stock to the wall. Wish mt eateries would have asked if I wanted fried or grilled shrimp on the captions plater. And then on the crab legs they didn’t even give you a cracker.Loved the atmosphere. Maybe they will get better.
