Sol delivered an unforgettable experience for an intimate birthday celebration. As someone with dietary restrictions around gluten and dairy, I was genuinely impressed by the range of delicious options available—and relieved to leave feeling great afterward.

A particularly special touch was being personally welcomed and served by the owner, who offered thoughtful recommendations that led us to some truly standout dishes. The margarita, made with incredibly smooth tequila, set the tone for a memorable evening.

Every item we ordered was exceptional—from the mushroom bruschetta and French onion soup to the homemade lasagna. The beet salad was another highlight, especially with the added sea bass, though the portion of fish felt a bit small for the price.

If I had one critique, it would be the limited space—there are only about six tables, which made the dining room feel a bit cramped. Still, the atmosphere remained cozy and inviting.

Overall, we loved every bite and can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Sol is a gem.

The dining experience was so elevated and divine. From the staff and servers, to the executive chef, to the elevated ambience, to all the intricately crafted dishes that had flexibility for gluten free, soy free, plant based- there was a plethora of options for everyone. This restaurant is a needle in a haystack. You don’t see many chefs go out of there way to accommodate everyone and this restaurant does that. Not just accommodation, but every dish was crafted and cooked to perfection.

The halibut for my husband was tender and flaky, not overcooked nor chewy; cooked perfectly. My lions mane steak was so juicy and grilled to perfection, I’ve never had a better lions mane steak like that! Don’t get me started on the desserts- everything was made from scratch, organic, added adaptogens, lattes, kombuchas with adaptogens and lions mane. You don’t see a dessert menu with these intentional longevity ingredients. This restaurant takes healthy fine dining to a whole other level! Executive Chef Debbie is working her but off and is so humble greeting every guest with a smile and taking orders. Abrianna is a delight, talking to every table making sure she gets every order down to a tee and recommending the best items on the menu. We couldn’t have had a better experience here and we need to take our family members!

My husband and I had such a nice dinner at Sol. We hadn’t planned on doing the prix-fixe menu, but it looked too good to pass up and we’re glad we tried it. Everything was fresh, completely gluten-free, and there were plenty of vegan choices too. The portions were just right, this isn’t a place for giant plates, but you don’t need them. I was happily full by the time dessert came. Our waiter was friendly and helpful without being pushy, and sitting outside under the soft lighting made it feel really romantic. Definitely worth a visit if you want a relaxed evening out.

Sol is hands down our favorite restaurant in St. Pete. Every visit feels personal, with the owners taking care of us and ensuring everything is just right. The service is consistently excellent, and their passion for high-quality, thoughtfully prepared food shines through in every dish. Their vegan options are among the best we’ve had—creative, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The atmosphere is quaint, warm, and inviting—perfect for a relaxed, memorable meal. Pro tip: don’t skip dessert.

Thought it would be better. Here’s why:
Small portions, high prices, average taste, mid interior, entitlement of a michelin star. As a holistic nutritionist myself, food here is regular homemade stuff, nothing fancy. Got Thai Pumpkin Curry w Seafood – barely any pumpkin, average zuccini, good amount of seafood (lots of shells tho). Artisan bread w butter were prety good. Lasagna was… okay. Very small plate. If you’re a man, you’ll need 2 to get full. That’s $80+ if anyone minds.

The menu is small, wouldn’t have a problem there since they cook it and dont reheat Sysco, but! They were out of 2 major meals on the menu that day so we had to get stuff that we didn’t want. If you have seafood allergy like I was – your menu shrinks to basically 3dishes.

Interior: small, dark, not loud which I loved, but looks cheap: very basic tables and chairs, some pillows, things hanging on the wall that look like Tjmaxx thrifts.
Waiters: great service from Debbie, I think, no complaints.
Wine: great, loved it.

If you plan to come here for the holistic reasons – I dont recommend, you will eat overpriced meals that you could’ve made at home.

Sol-St Pete is truly a hidden gem. I enjoyed a beautiful four-course meal that began with an outstanding French soup, followed by a fresh, perfectly balanced salad. The salmon entrée was cooked just right—tender, flavorful, and clearly prepared with great care. I finished with a delicious chocolate dessert that was the perfect ending to the evening.

Although this is a small family-run restaurant, the ambiance feels like a charming spot in Paris. The quality, presentation, and service are all absolutely top-notch. A wonderful dining experience that I would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing!
Sol St. Pete Bistro never disappoints. The steak is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Cutting into it is like cutting through butter, and every bite is packed with flavor. The ambience is top notch, warm, and inviting. I’ve been twice now, once for my birthday and recently for my friend’s, and both times were incredible. We sat inside and loved how cozy and intimate the space felt. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in St. Pete!

We always have such a great time. Last night we celebrated our 15 year anniversary. The food was wonderful. The atmosphere was great! We arrived early and we were seated right away. We love the cozy environment paired with the delicious flavors of all of the food. We had house salads, vegan mushroom bruschetta, vegan mushroom steak, tuna steak, and the Italian orange cake.

Fantastic farm to table with local and transparent sourcing. Don’t expect run of the mill low quality food restaurant pricing, it is a very fair value for the top tier ingredients. Entire menu is thoroughly labeled and informative from dietary restrictions to ingredients used – for someone who likes to vote with your dollar, this is a perfect dining option. No seed oils, refined sugar or gluten at all in this establishment. Unique drink menu also accommodating to intentional lifestyle cuisine. Staff is very attentive and informed. The ambiance is great for date night or gathering where conversation is desired as the setting is comfortable and calm background music to allow for easy conversing. Definitely try and make a reservation on weekends as Saturday night is guaranteed to be fully sat as it’s an intimate space. We’re new to the area and will for sure be making this a regular spot in our dining out rotation! Thank you for providing a clean culinary experience, a rarity and genuinely appreciated!

The restaurant has a nice ambiance. It is small, only 10-12 tables. The food is not good though. I had the French Onion soup, which was good. For Main course I had lasagna. It was awful! So incredibly salty that it was inedible. For desert I had their orange cake. It was very bad. I don’t even know why they call it cake. It is a mush of some vegetables, presented in a triangle.

I will not be going back to Sol.
