I have been waiting for a Guatemalan restaurant to come to katy for so many years and it’s finally here. I came for breakfast, but decided to do lunch instead. It was an amazing atmosphere and pretty chill, but with an authentic feel and the music was so relaxing, that I almost fell asleep eating , but seriously. The staff was very humble and attentive. Then the food was freaking amazing with its authentic taste as well.

Yummy….
We just happened upon Kiche Restaurant and are so glad we did! The service was absolutely amazing—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes for both great food and great service, but Kiche truly does. We will definitely be back!

The food was very good. It felt fresh, almost homemade. Very authentic despite being my first time trying Guatemalan food. Atmosphere and service was excellent. They had marimba going in the background. Overall a great experience. Very family friendly.

Kiché in Katy, Texas is truly a gem! From the moment we walked in, the friendly service made us feel right at home. The food brought me straight back to my homeland, it tastes just like back home in Guatemala. I had the chance to enjoy traditional dishes like garnachas, chuchitos, rellenitos de plátano, carne guisada, empanada de pollo, and so much more. Every bite was delicious and authentic.

The atmosphere was wonderful as well, we loved the marimba music playing in the background, which made the whole experience even more special. The restaurant keeps its food original, the prices are fair, and the portions are generous.

Kiché is the perfect place for anyone wanting to experience the flavors of Guatemala or simply enjoy great food in a warm and welcoming environment. We will definitely be back!

I was in the mood for pasta and we happened on Krico’s so came to check it out! They must still be figuring out their menu because many of the recommendations I saw in other reviews were not available on the menu.
The Brussels sprouts were by far our favorite item. They were roasted to perfection and came out still bubbling in their sauce. My husband really enjoyed his pizza. I do not normally care for pizza but tried a bite, and admit, it was better than most. Not at all greasy and not heavy on the sauce (which is my personal preference).
I cannot however recommend the chicken picatta at all. I was starving so I ate it but was almost ill. I recognize that it is made with a lemon butter sauce, but it was like eating a raw lemon. Very overwhelming. It was sour and I had to eat a bite and food and a bite of bread simultaneously to make it tolerable.
Would not order that dish again but we would definitely eat here again and try another item.
Vibe is nice – casual while still being nice for a date night.

My wife and I live in Cypress, but we were out in Katy in support of a friend at an event. After we finished, we came over here to El Kiche because I had found it on Google Maps earlier in the afternoon while researching the area. I use Google maps exclusively when trying to find a place to eat, and always look for places with a 4.5 rating or higher. This one had a 4.7 and was very close to where we were. it was also unique in that it was Guatemalan. After discussion with our server and getting recommendations, we both had the Combo Chapin with fried plantains for an appetizer. All of it was fantastic and we especially liked the churrasco and the thick corn tortillas. we will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Amazing food, amazing experience, amazing place!! Katy needs to less huge chain restaurants and more places like this! My picky 6 year old said she wanted to eat here everyday! The bread was warm and yummy. My husband and I both got salads that were overflowing and flavorful. Our main dishes (pastas) had so much flavor and we even had lunch for the next day. The kids pizza was extremely tasty as well!! I highly recommend this place and hope it sticks around!

Went there with a group for lunch today. Really enjoyed the hot soft breadsticks with butter. My friends got the Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp Scampi, and a couple of us had the Snapper, which was excellent! The fish was perfectly cooked with crispy skin on the bottom and a perfectly balanced white wine garlic sauce. Al dente pasta and flavorful sauces all around. Love finding these small locally owned businesses with great service and delicious food. Definitely give this place a try. I know I can’t wait to go back.
