I honestly don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been coming to this location since I was a kid, so I’ve always trusted their food and service — but after what happened recently, I’ll never set foot here again.
I ordered the lobster noodles, something I’ve enjoyed countless times before. Halfway through, I noticed something that made my stomach turn — a strand of hair tangled in the noodles. Completely disgusting. I tried to be understanding and calm about it, figuring mistakes happen. I didn’t even demand a refund — I simply asked them to remake the dish.
But when I went back to pick up the replacement (and yes, I returned the box with the hair in it), the worker had the audacity to tell me that “the lobster must have eaten hair,” and that’s why it was in the food. Excuse me??? What kind of explanation is that? It’s beyond ridiculous and insulting to my intelligence.
Still, I stayed polite and took the replacement meal. But when I got to my car and opened the second box — you guessed it — another hair. At that point, I was completely disgusted and furious. Not only did they serve me contaminated food twice, but the staff was also rude and dismissive about it.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Hygiene clearly isn’t a priority here, and neither is basic respect for loyal customers. I used to recommend this place to friends and family, but now I’ll be warning everyone to stay far away. If you care about cleanliness, professionalism, or just not finding hair in your food, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Staff cares about how customer feels, provide shade when it’s sunny, close door when you are cold… The waitress gives very good recommendations. I like their fried foods: rice, ribs, crabs, calamari..
Update: aug 2024 surf clam glass noddle serves on 2 shells quality drop from 5 down to 2, chewy, dry taste metallic clam, no longer fresh just frozen. Lobster is still good but yesterday nooddle werent as good as before. Owner is annoying telling me to move to smaller table to reserve table for people who never come. Before I even heard arguments in the kitchen so apparently someone is not so pleasant.
We recommended not coming back to this restaurant because they charged too high. Usually, the service tip most of the restaurant depends on the customer not to the cashier automatic plus to the bill …
Great food and good customer service.
3rd visit, wrong item and too long wait time pass pick up ETA, -1 star.
The quality of the ingredients are good, especially the lobster feel very fresh. The price is also good, not too high for what you get nowadays. However, the flavor need some improvement, the lobster itself seems to be the only thing with enough noticeable flavor, while the noodle and clam we got are kind of lack of flavor, feel really plain.
The food was good.
The highlight of the visit was the grandma taking our order, kudos and admiration to her.
(I assume her family owns the business.)
She is probably in her 70s or 80s and was waiting on tables and refilling the table condiment containers.
The secret to a healthy and active old age must be to eat here and stay active.
We left her a 30% tip.
Go granny!
