Had to change my review due to a bad experience on 11/23/2023. I came to the drive thru and the artificial intelligence voice took my order and asked me if I wanted to upgrade my drink to a slushie. I asked how much for the up charge and the automated voice stated that it had to get someone to assist me. A real lady came on shortly with a very nasty attitude and said “1.50” twice. She said it as if I were bothering her. She then proceeds to tell me that since I interrupted the artificial voice thing, that I had to get out of line and go back around and come back through to order. That’s just crazy when she, as a real person could have simply taken my order. Just lazy. If the A.I thing can’t answer questions , a real capable person needs to be there ready and willing to take orders. I will not waste my time again.

I love checkers but i don’t see this establishment lasting much longer due to the staff, the cleanliness, and the service. I came to order for me and my kids and waited at the call box for about 10mins, went to the window to see if there was anyone working and it was 2 young men in there just sitting around. So i get out to go order and still took a minute to get my meal ordered. Looking through the place you can see water all over the floor nobody is working but these 2. They were very nice but nobody was in uniform, one had on slides!!! The outside is so dirty for this to be a new place to Montgomery. Please staff the place with better people, people that want to work, at least get a REAL manager in the store.

FIRST VISIT during the day..
I love checkers, always have and will. The line at this one is still a bit crazy cause of the newness. But if we have to wait so long, can my fries be crispy not soggy and hot not luke warm especially if that’s the only thing I order ..
UPDATED 2ND VISIT after midnight
Hello. So I tried going to Checkers once more after someone responded to my 1st review. Well this time was EVEN worse. I work at South two minutes down the street and decided to come here for my lunch break. I ARRIVED AT 12:45 AM and STAYED IN THE DRIVE THRU UNTIL 2:15 AM. Don’t believe it, look at the receipt in the UPDATED picture. Cars was even sitting at the drive thru window very very very long periods before being handed their food. NOTHING about HERE is FASTFOOD, it is verrrrrrrry slow food, so people who’ve NEVER been here please keep this in mind..
Management and/or OWNERS should perhaps do secret shopping or have many others do secret shopping just to see how awful the service and wait time really is if the reviews coming in are unbelievable. Also if the outside lane drive thru intercom isn’t being worked, why have people wait 30 minutes or so at it if that side isn’t really be utilized, close it cause it’s definitely not helping speed any orders up. I was so excited about Checkers coming to Montgomery but the workers of this one has made it such a heartbreaking disappointment. I’d rather drive way to Dothan’s Checkers where the food is fast and so hot it burns your mouth almost..

Went by today for lunch. Was greeted at the order taker by Mr. Hardaway who helped me decide on my delious meal. By time I got to the window I were greeted again with a warm welcome by the young lady and my food was already prepared and waiting on me. Will definitely be visiting again!!

I guess this was the hype about the checkers in Montgomery. We were in line for at least 40 minutes just to get served slop basically. Mind you this was a double checker burger basically wrapped in some parchment paper. The only soda option available was root-beer. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. The positive reviews you see under this location is false and most likely paid advertisement from some of the employees or family/friends

Definitely not it… if there’s a way to ruin something I guarantee you Montgomery will do so… how is it even possible to make the customer wait for 30 mins to order and receive the food but it’s cold, two top buns, no sprite, coke or cup holders??? Restaurant hasn’t even been open a good six months and is already a epic fail!! It’s truly sad
