Jazmin was so sweet. The food was amazing. Their big beans have cinnamon in them and they taste amazing. Don’t get me started on the ribs. They melt in your mouth and the sauce is out of this world.

Fatty’s BBQ & Soul Food is hands down some of the BEST BBQ you will ever find in Florida. I don’t say that lightly either, I’ve only had it a few times, but every single time it has been absolutely unforgettable.
The ribs in particular are out of this world. They’re perfectly tender, smoky, and full of flavor, and the sauce is the kind that makes you lick your fingers and wonder how it’s possible for food to taste that good. In fact, the photo I attached was taken after I had already taken a bite, I couldn’t resist diving in before snapping the picture. That alone should tell you how irresistible this food is!
What makes Fatty’s stand out is not just the taste, but the heart you can feel in every meal. I’ve never actually been inside the restaurant myself, my mom usually goes in and brings it out, but even from the outside you can see the pride and soul poured into this place. Fatty’s BBQ & Soul Food is next-level! The ribs were tender with the perfect bite, their house BBQ sauce nailed the sweet-and-heat balance, and the mac & cheese was very good. But the collard greens? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. The owner and the woman in the front were absolutely gracious and very welcoming.
I don’t work in this area often but every time I do, I will be sure to stop by.

My first time visiting $17 meal includes a drink. Ribs were tender, seasoned and sauce on point. I wish I could have tried the greens. Had a call in and was in and out, service and portion side was good too!

We tried this restaurant tonight for the first time, we are here on vacation. It was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had, my 7 year old who’s a picky eater and is usually never quite didn’t make a single sound the whole way back to our place while he was eating. My husband was disappointed he had to wait to get back to start eating but he loved it, when I asked to try some of his beans he refused to share, I got the Mac n Chesse, collard greens and half chicken from the first bite I knew we had found our new favorite stop while on vacation. The only disappointment is that it’s not local to us and now in comparison has ruined other bbq place

Gotta tell you what discovery Fatty’s BBQ was for me. I was heading south to visit family and decided to bring some BBQ. I didn’t want to do a chain or some suburban take out spot. Found Fatty’s on a Google search. What a great find! I order ribs, beef, collards and beans. Fantastic!!!
Everyone raved about the food, the sauce and the sides.

This is genuinely some of the best food I’ve found in Florida. Their potato salad is amazing, their ribs are great, but the one thing I’ve found here that is truly unmatched is their collard greens. The food is the type of amazing where you don’t talk to the people you’re eating it with after your first bite because it’s just that good. Workers are always polite and prices are great for the amount of food you’re getting. This is the type of place I can go after the worst day and the food there just turns everything around and makes it a great one. I have eaten at famous restaurants in Boston, New York, and LA and can safely say this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. If you’re ever looking for a place for great barbecue or just great food in general I whole heartedly recommend Fatty’s.

Just stopping in to write a review and my mouth is literally watering. No joke. This place is the real deal. It’s a newer restaurant in the location of a long-running BBQ joint but don’t let its newness turn you off. This place, opened in memory of the proprietor’s sister, “Fatty” (seriously, if I called my sister that, she would rip my face off), this restaurant eats like an old time BBQ joint.
I got the pork with a combination of the spicy and regular sauce and it was mouth-watering good. The side of slaw was a little dry; all the liquid was in the bottom of the carton. No worries; I just added it to the meat and ate it together. It was delicious. Of course the Mac and cheese was good – how can you go wrong? – and the collard greens had an interesting spice mix that I really liked.
The atmosphere inside was fine – it’s a take-out place. But there was camaraderie and banter among friends and regulars there. We chose to eat at the picnic table outside — they are planning to redo that area and make it more inviting for eating there on premises.

We’ve been looking for some good local bbq that isn’t in Tampa. We found it! We got two dinners, I got the chopped beef, my husband got the hot sausages. The baked beans are so delicious and sweet! On a whim I decided to get potato salad, and I’m so happy I did! It was delicious and not your average potato salad! My husband tried it and regretted not getting a side of it himself! The mains were also delicious and hot. The beef was most and flavorful and my husband said his sausage was great. Service was quick and friendly. We will be back!
