I had a business lunch here, and since I’ve always loved this hotel, I was a bit worried after reading some of the negative reviews. But everything turned out to be perfect — the atmosphere was just right for lunch, and the food we ordered was incredibly delicious. I was honestly surprised! Our server was also very friendly and relaxed, which made the whole experience even better. It was such a pleasant and happy lunch. Highly recommend!

I seldom post bad reviews but this is the only restaurant in NYC that me and my family went to that has given us a very bad experience . . . . There were only 3 tables full this evening but the servers paid much more attention to the white Americans in those two tables . We never experienced this in Manhattan and I felt so bad considering my daughter chose this place for her 25th bday . I love the ambience of the place , food was ok but not exceptional except for the tiramisu which my family love , but considering how we were treated tonight – we will never go back and won’t recommend this place either .

Food is wonderful and the staff are so nice and accommodating. I love the chicken paillard and the hummus and the burger. Most recently, I went for lunch with a large group of new moms (with a lot of strollers) and the staff were so kind and helpful. They are very family friendly and a great place to go when you have fiends or family in town. So glad we have this restaurant in the neighborhood! I would also gladly do another ladies lunch here due to the great food, beautiful atmosphere and nice servers & host. Highly recommend! Good spot for a business lunch as well

I made a reservation here for my wife and her mother to celebrate her 40th birthday. I had contacted them ahead of time and shared the reservation was to celebrate a milestone birthday.
Given that information, I hoped they would do at least something small to acknowledge the event and make the meal a memorable one; unfortunately, not only did they do nothing, from the moment she arrived she was made to feel unwelcome and unspecial.
The host acted put out when they couldn’t immediately find the reservation made under my name. The service was slow and unprofessional. Their plates were never bussed. Their waters sat empty and were refilled once in the hour and a half their meal dragged on for.
As the person who set this up for his wife’s 40th, I’m embarrassed. Without irony, I am confident they would have had a better time at TGI Fridays, and I bet they would have at least figured out how to put a candle in a cupcake to celebrate a birthday.
I sent them to Elysée’s hoping for a memorable meal; unfortunately they achieved that goal by making it memorable for all the wrong reasons. I hate writing negative reviews, but with so many great restaurants in NYC, you have no reason to roll the dice on this one, especially for a special occasion.
Giving 2 stars because at least the food didn’t have a roach in it or something.

Felt very rushed while eating, server came over to check on bill 3x despite receiving it 6-8 minutes prior. Restaurant barely filled, and were not told about a reservation for the table that could’ve prompted a rushed experience before sitting, so was confused about the constant check ins. Pasta dish was $32 despite the noodles not being cooked all the way and sauce was subpar for the price of the dish. Not super friendly either. Very stuffy and didn’t feel super welcome. I live in New York and this is one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to.

I took my wife here for her birthday and was really disappointed with how we were treated. Even though I had made reservations the first thing we were told when we arrived was to place our order quickly because they were about to close. That made us feel rushed and took away from what was supposed to be a special evening. The frustrating part is that the food and drinks were actually very good but the service left a bad impression. If reservations are accepted, guests should never feel like they’re being pushed out the door

Racist!!! Ruined my birthday dinner! When server asked what we wanted to drink I said we usually order a bottle… he goes we don’t sell those types of bottles we only sell wine and champagne… I was like well that’s exactly what we would order he goes well if that’s the case perfect…. The beginning… end of the meal server grabbed the receipt out my hand bc he came to the table and said he accidentally erased” the payment… when I asked how is that possible when I’m signing the cc receipt… then said that’s not going to work… sat us in the back of the restaurant by the bar in an empty restaurant!!! Just disgusting esp for nyc!!! Worst experience … we had to ask to be moved

This place is absolutely comfortable and nice, I was with my family for lunch and we love the attention of the staff and the attention to detail, they have a varied menu, my favorite is the smoked salmon sandwich but they also have delicious vegetarian options, really amazing food and the cocktails are really perfect, my favorites.

The restaurant was empty, considering the restaurants location which was beautiful this was shocking. Furthermore the manager, condescending and empty was rude. He made me pick up my own umbrella and did not indicate to me where to get my coat, this was not only rude but also made me and my girlfriend feel bad for valentines weekend. Our experience was deceitful and I do not recommend going. After waiting for my girlfriends drink for 30 minutes while other tables were being served their drinks and getting the wrong pizza after one hour of waiting this was by far the most unpleasant experience in my years of living in NYC.
