I love Indian food and this place really lived up to it! Authentic, feels like a home, and overall a wonderful experience. I went with my lady for an anniversary and we loved it. The butter chicken and bread was a favorite! They even set up our table for us beforehand and took care of us very well. Highly recommend!

Fabulous first experience to Annie’s kitchen!! Enjoyed sampling the entrees from the chef and learning about Southern India regional dishes. So delicious!! It was wonderful to go to a new restaurant with all our alpha gal limitations and discover a whole world of foods that could be prepared for us or tweaked to our needs if we called ahead. Chef was very flexible on adjusting spiciness intensity as well. Will absolutely be back! The prices were a great value for portion sizes! You can eat in the quiet dining room if you prefer or take out.

The food was good but wow, it’s grossly over priced. The food ll came out at once. Appetizers, drinks, entrees, bread after a veeerrryy long wait. The walls are bare white, the chairs are diner style, the table handmade plywood. Our company was awesome and the food was tasty, but the dinner experience itself was lacking. Two couples $165. I could eat at Skyline or Milan for this and have a stellar experience. Just saying. Maybe enjoy lunch or an app. But save dinner for someplace special.

I was there for the thanksgiving weekend. I am an avid Biriyani fan and I enjoy it with a passion. I am someone who would eat it all 3 meals for a week straight and have almost accomplished it. I am from South India and grew up eating south Indian food. I have tried out many “Indian” “South Indian restaurants” in the DMV (where I am from) and many of them have their tastes altered to the local population and are not entire authentic to the taste and I can’t blame them but with Annie’s Indian Kitchen, it is a different story. The taste of the food is as authentic as you would get in a restaurant in a city in South India. I don’t say this about many restaurants but this would be my go-to restaurant every week if I lived closer.

We had such an amazing experience here! At first, we were a little unsure walking in, but that quickly changed once we met the owner. He walked us through the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel so welcome. Both the owners and our server were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuine. The food was absolutely delicious-so flavorful and fresh. You can definitely tell that it was homemade! Even if you’re not sure you like Indian food, l’d encourage you to give this place a try! The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and inviting. Im already looking forward to coming back if I visit Virginia again!!

This is not your typical restaurant! This feels more like dining at a wonderful Indian family’s home, and just as welcoming.
Upon entering for the first time, nothing is conventional… you essentially walk into the kitchen counter, chefs and staff busy making food right there..
We were greeted and made to feel at home right away! We were walked through the menu, and sampled various dishes to insure they had each one of our heat profiles down perfectly.
Ordering was easy, and we took all the recommendations offered.
We dined in, although you can tell many do takeout orders.
The food was unbelievable! The flavor combinations and overall perfection of spice, flavor, and everything came together harmoniously!
Soon the owner came out to make sure we were enjoying everything. Soon enough we had struck up a conversation and he asked my daughter to please, play the piano..
As she did, he sat and listened.. he is such a gift, and made her feel so wonderful.
This, is what sets this family kitchen apart. We were guests, welcomed into this lovely family and enjoyed every second.
Yes, the food MUST be had.. 100%.
But to dine there, and feel the love and warmth of this family… is worth more than any cost of the food.
From the host, guiding us through getting the perfect meal, to our lovely waitress, being so excited for our first taste… to the wonderful man who made my shy daughter feel so welcomed, she played in public..
I’m truly grateful for this place, and these amazingly charming people.
Thank you!
See you soon!

We catered food from Annie’s Indian Kitchen for our son’s rehearsal dinner. The owner was super helpful throughout the whole process, right from suggesting what dishes to order, to even inviting my son and his wife to sample taste all the dishes before the event. The food at the rehearsal dinner was plenty, delicious and throughly enjoyed by all the guests!!
The Biryani, butter chicken, chicken 65, lemon rice, masala dosa, parathas, onion pakoda and mutton curry were a runaway hit among the guests!
Thank you Annie’s Indian Kitchen!! Would recommend 100%!

Overall the food was great! This was my first time trying onion pakkoda and parotta, both of which were delicious. The butter chicken was very good as well, just a little off in the balance of the amount of chicken vs sauce. Same with the raitha, the vegetables were pretty light. Not a deal breaker though, I’ll try something different next time.
It’s a family run operation, which is something I appreciate. Everyone behind the counter was very friendly

Sharing both their food and culture with the community for many years, the Annie’s Indian Kitchen family has never failed to disappoint and deliver!
They put a lot of passion into their craft and have kept their tradition alive and well recognized with their tasty South Indian dishes.
May they be blessed on their next journey forward, the community will definitely miss the gift they have provided to us.

This was a great first experience at Annie’s kitchen. Tonight they had a special where we got all that and a little desert for $17. It was nice that you got to taste a bunch of different flavors. My favorite by far had to the that bread. It’s like flaky and great to dip into the chicken curry to soak up all the flavors. I would definitely recommend and will be back in the future!
