Some of the best Mexican food you can get in town can be had here – certainly, the best chips and salsa for sure! Without question, this place is a bit hard to find especially if you’re just passing through town but if you’re willing to make a small detour for a great lunch or dinner, I can assure you that it’s well worth it. Just look for the small entrance next to the ACE Hardware Store and you find a wonderful restaurant that is a lot larger than it looks from the outside and is very welcoming on the inside. Service is fast and friendly and really, the food is delicious. On our recent visit, my wife had the Banderillas with chicken and I had the carne asada burrito and both were wonderful. Best part about this place is that their prices are very reasonable or at least, to me anyway. Need I say, I would highly recommend this place.

I found this place in the back of a hardware store parking lot, next to an appliance store. The interior is much larger than I anticipated and resembles a town center from days gone by. The booths are underneath Spanish tile roofs, giving the appearance of an outdoor café. A large water fountain holds center stage on the dining room floor. An employee told me that a bar is located in the back area but I did not go in it. My food was very good with the big exception being the beef burrito. The beef was excellent!! The only down side were the chips. They were thicker than other chips that I’ve had and the flavor slightly confused me. It isn’t a bad flavor, but I didn’t like it as much as most others. The salsa was very good. The décor, friendly service and the beef burrito pushed me to give it 5 stars instead of 4.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of El Superior. Its truly unique for the area and unlike the other Mexican restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed the margarita I got and feel like this is a great place to take your family. I’m unsure if it was just my dish, but I felt like I was craving a little bit more spice and flavor from my enchiladas, and other people I from my group had similar comments about their food.

Make sure you go in, it doesn’t look like much from the parking lot. We really liked the chips and salsa. We both had the crab enchiladas with a white sauce, all of the food was served quickly and hot, and very yummy!

I wish they’d print up some TO GO menus that I could bring home with me:) to have it on my fridge would be the end to my everyday cooking though:) there’s food for thought (no pun intended;)

This place is now under new ownership and let me tell you, it is just as amazing as before if not better. Roberto and his crue will make you feel at home every time you visit. Don’t forget to ask about the weekend specials. My last visit I had the Fish Tilapia, pescado Tilapia, and it was amazing and I look forward to having another very soon.

I have had plenty of mexican food in my life, and i strive for authentic mexican cuisine. This place is hands down the best I have eaten at, fresh home made salsa is to die for and will have u getting extra togo. I had there beef steak Ranchero and it was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked, tender, and perfect balance of spice. It is definitely worth the travel from no matter where you are coming from.

We have meetings in thier meeting room. They are so awesome getting all the food out together and within a timely manner. I always get the taco salad because it is delicious! I love going and take the family on non meeting days. The food us fantastic, the staff is on point, and the price is right!
