This is a hidden gem, off interstate 80, at Johnson lake. Absolutely …a FIVE STAR … restaurant. The presentation of food, the outstanding flavor of each entree’ and Ryliey , the manager, just radiates with sunshine a pleasant interaction with each patron. A worthy detour off I 80.

Had really good shrimp tacos and an abundance of tater tots for the side. Onl latest visit (2/24) had dragon tots appetizer which was really good. Had chicken tacos this time -also good. Good selection of beers and service was great. (6-15-2025) Came on Father’s Day, got seated right away. Food and service was excellent as usual.

We were here during the dreaded times of 2020 and loved it then. Took a day trip to see the cranes and then west with the specific destination of eating lunch here at the lake. We were not disappointed. I had the turkey melt, which was delicious, and I took half home. Friend had their special shsved prime rib sandwich on a pretzel bun with au jus, also delicious. Server/bartender was exceptional. Viewing the lake as it wakes up for summer was fun.

Spacious atmosphere with a view of the lake. Plenty of TVs to catch a game and 12 bets on tap. Tried their twist on onion rings.. drizzled with BBQ and cheese sauce. Very good!

Our server hit it out of the park (he was a young bald guy). They had a nice selection of food and Nebraska brews as well as domestic brews. The view was good of a cove of Johnson Lake. The crab cakes are made in house, and delicious, BUT you need to like spicy hot to enjoy them. The naut mess lacked flavor and hardly had any chicken. The neighboring table had spinach artichoke dip that made us wish we had ordered that instead.

Was so disappointed for my wife on Mother’s Day. Had reservations, seated 15 mins after our time, about 2 and 1/2 hours later order started trickling in with the last meal coming about the 3 hr mark, waitress was so embarrassed she was in tears. Come on management/owner, you had to know it was gonna be busy!
