This place has *amazing* food. We had the Reuben with tomato soup and a roast beef sandwich—everything was perfectly balanced, with great flavor and nothing overpowering the meat. You can tell real care goes into the food.
Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying a cannoli, and wow… OMG. One bite took us straight back to New York when we were young. Smooth, creamy, not overly sweet, and the perfect size for sharing. Absolutely delicious and worth every penny.
The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is casual with a touch of elegance—very welcoming and comfortable. They also have a great selection of pastries that we’re already planning to come back for.
Added a photo of the cannoli *after* we dug in—we were just too excited to try it!
Update: we went back for breakfast and it was fantastic! Simple menu and absolutely delicious. We had the half order of biscuit and gravy and the spinach artichoke souffle. Flavorful, perfect portion and a great meal. Took home an orange cranberry scone…yummy!
Our event would not have been the same without their incredible contribution. If you’re looking for baked goods that combine elegance, flavor, and love in every bite, Amore Bakery is the place to go!
Really cute bakery friendly ppl, cannoli was delicious and huge freshly made to order, apple pie croissant was amazing, apple fritter was good to still warm from the oven .they bake everything from scratch every day. Will go back to try more pastries and food.. love a good Italian place
This place has serious nona/ grandma vibes in all the best ways. Little bit of kitchen banter, regulars calling out their orders, hushed drama amongst the quiet moments. The place has a few cases with pastries and desserts and 1 for deli items. They fill the cannolies fresh when you order. Very good, not overly sweet so more authentic. Its decorated with antiques without being cluttered. They have a high tea coming up that im excited to try. Looks like a decadent event the hold.
I had the potato salad as a side, and was told it was the chef’s mother’s recipe. Well, she did a fantastic job, because that was the best side of potato salad I think I have ever had from a restaurant. I also got a pistachio cannoli to go, and this thing is massive! It is also really tasty with a well balanced ricotta filling.
My only little gripe is that the decor is kind of wonky, but that just isn’t my style I guess. It is also a little tricky to get into the location if you are coming from the west side, but that is not a reason not to go.
I have been in Springfield for 3 years, and I am honestly surprised no one has recommended this place to me yet. I will definitely be back, and you should go too!
We will be trying their lasagna and reuben next! We did take out today, but they have a very nice area for dining in.
