The smell as we crossed the street git us excited. We visit a friend in the hospital, so we’ve seen it, but tonight we had time to stop in for dinner
She had the California chicken sandwich, the citrus mayo was refreshing and delicious. She had the coleslaw and it was also good. Also, the bathroom was clean!
I had the brisket platter with Mac n cheese and cheddar biscuits. Tender and juicy, I was trying not to make too much of a mess.
The biscuits were so good we got another order to go, and their blueberry peach bread pudding, and a small bit of pulled pork for later.
We really enjoyed the flavors and the atmosphere.
We are sad to hear they are closing, we hope the owner finds a new location

Just the best brisket I’ve ever had. It melts in your mouth, didn’t even need knife.
Such a unique place, cozy and welcoming.
Staff is amazing and kind. We felt like home.
Place was not crowded and no reservations were required.
We also had an incredible pulled pork sandwich which I recommend as well.
You make your order by the counter and they bring it to your table.

This was a great satisfying restaurant that me and my friends family went too. To start off, the atmisphere was quiet and nice and dark with christmas lights and silent tvs, along with a nice bathroom, but after gave a very depressing vibe. The tables were a little too small and chairs too small and hard.
I ordered the beef brisket platter and it was very delicious! I like that there was a plentiful amount of barbeque sauce and a good ratio of fat to meat. Although still many mouthfulls felt it was dry with not enough fat. It has a nice consistency but could have much more of a smoky flavour with the sauce more subtle to appreciate it. Smokiness is the best aspect and more time to cook would give it the flavour. It didnt melt in the mouth as much as i thought but not disappointed. Yet for $26 it was a plentiful portion rhat j couldnt finish.
I got the deviled eggs, expected three but got two. Was a little disappointed because they didnt have the strong mustardy flavour, and a little spiciness would make a huge difference. The yellow top was tasteless and it was quite frustrating but the texture was great. The potato salad no complanrs.
The apple pie should have been warmer but pleasantly surprised. Meanwhile the beans were too sour for me and wanted less of a soup.
At the same time the service was excellent and fulfilled all of the wishes. No problems with service and couldnt have bern better
Overall do recommend this place for a quick stop at lunch but not for a formal occasion or special dinner.

We loved this little place , it’s got a neat pig theme going on with a very broken in BBQ vibe . We love that sort of relaxed atmosphere . My Wife had the California pulled chicken sandwich, and a side of Mac n cheese , I had the BBQ slider plate which offered Pulled chicken and pork and brisket , I had a side of baked beans and we split a slice of homemade apple pie .. the prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious . The staff was friendly and helpful and kept the place clean.

We found this spot online and since we were just passing through we decided to try some good BBQ. Unfortunately we were left truly disappointed. I didn’t want to rate a small business negatively but I’m hoping this will help them to make improvements. The seating area was a mix of kitchen supplies and chairs. When placing my order for ribs I was given the option to have sauce on the ribs or on the side. When my food arrived they swirled bbq sauce on it . The cornbread were minis and were not warm. They also didn’t serve fries. The taste of the food was okay but it wasn’t great bbq.

Place is very clean & very cosy. Had the smoked wings hot. Great flavor & spice, accidentally got some on the Carolina sauce on one and it was even better. Had a brisket sandwich, was flavorful & tender. My only gripe & for me this is a big one. There is no bark on site. Asked if I could get extra with sandwich and they said they have none. How do you have a bbq place but no bark on the meat.

The food was absolutely delicious! My husband and I tried the pulled pork sandwich, the 3 meat platter (pulled pork, pulled chicken and brisket), with homemade coleslaw and potato salad and fresh made lemonade. Everything was great, but the brisket was outstanding!!! Everything was served with a choice of homemade sauces. We will definitely be going back!

I enjoyed the food the first time i ordered takeout. I ordered ribs with Mac and cheese and collard greens. Today I wasn’t impressed by the food or service. As the area is suburban/ rural there are limited food options near by. As healthcare worker at nearby hospital, my meal breaks are limited so it’s importent to order in advance as it takes 15-20 mins for meals. I called the business phone number for over an hour with no answer. I decided to take a chance and drive over, and to my surprise it was opened. When I entered, I confirmed if I was calling the correct number. The gentleman who took my order confirmed it was in fact the correct number, but said “at times we get busy and can’t answer the phone” and apologized. I can understand being understaffed as healthcare professional but I just found it to be poor service to not answer for over an hour. Just for some perspective this is not a huge establishment and when I arrived there were 5 people seated.
I order seafood gumbo and 6 wings, pay, and receive my receipt.I wait for the food 15 mins and my order is ready. He asks me to pay again. lol I get the food back to the hospital and the gumbo is delicious, but the wings have hair. This will definitely be a last experience for me. (Meal approx $19)

First time visiting.
Good: polite and prompt staff. Good spicy bbq sauce (spicy Georgia peach). Excellent collard greens. Food served piping hot.
Not so good: brisket was pretty dry and lacking.
Also found a long strand of hair in my sandwich (I’m pretty much bald…. definitely fell into the food by accident in the kitchen) Accidents happen.
Would definitely come back and try other stuff on the menu.
