I advise you to Check receipt for cost charged, and if taking a to go order make sure what you ordered is included. I had to go back after a significant up charge and pay again for what was originally ordered. I was refused when i asked for a receipt of what i originally paid for. Drinks are also not included in “combos” so beware. Why pay almost $100 for poor customer service and mediocre food when you could travel a little bit and pay less. Just sucks because i would love to support local and make our community better but these instances make it where it isn’t feasible or enjoyable to stay in our town. I honestly kick myself because i debated between hop house and Rosa’s tonight but chose Rosa’s due to prices (which were false). Wish i would have went with The Hop House across the street for sure.

Absolutely love their food. My favorite is their torta also their large fries are very fulfilling, and for the price? You definitely get more than enough food. Rosa is the nicest person I’ve met in the food industry and she has done a wonderful job here.

I feel very welcomed first thing I walk in. They have a big selection of varieties of food from Mexican and American food. I love the fact how everything is made from scratch that gives it its unique Mexican taste in their food. Also their hamburgers are great too and very delicious. It’s worth the drive from Caldwell to wilder I say.

Wether you are ordering street tacos, burritos, or American cuisine this place is great and affordable. My wife and I order the street tacos here and absolutely love them. This place is the reason my wife eats cilantro now because of their tacos. I ordered a beef burrito a few days back and had it covered in Verde (green) sauce…..wow was this delicious! My five year old usually just gets fries and a hotdog. Fries are yummy, hotdog is all beef! Very quiet place. Has never been busy in the two years my family has eaten here. The owner is a very nice lady!

Fantastic food, especially the fried ice cream! I woke up the next morning still thinking about our wonderful meal.

While we were waiting for our meal we were served freshly fried tortilla chips which you put your own salt on them with a nice medium salsa which didn’t have a lot in it, would recommend some freshly chopped onion, cilantro, and tomatoes, but it was still good as is.

We ordered steak fajitas, our favorite, and they were pretty good, the only bad thing was I found at least three pieces of gristle, so did my mother and the meat was a bit tougher than what we are used to (possibly didn’t marinade it long enough) but it was still wonderful. It was served with a side of what looked like shredded romaine lettuce (my favorite), tomatoes, and fresh chopped cilantro, as well as refried beans and wonderful rice which was possibly cooked in chicken stock with possibly curry powder and one other spice I am not familiar with.

I had a reeses milkshake which I think was icecream and peanut butter blended together.

We also got a lovely free sample of tamales which were also wonderful. I’ve had tamales before which were gritty or had a piece of corn husk left behind but these were perfect, wonderful texture and flavor.

The real show stopper though was the fried ice cream. I have had fried ice cream at many different restaurants but have never seen it prepared or made like it was at Rosa’s. I’ve had fried ice cream which was rather plain with crushed graham crackers, honey, and cinnamon, and one with crushed corn flakes, honey, and cinnamon (with chocolate syrup and ice cream), but at Rosa’s it is vanilla ice cream topped with rice crispie cereal which was either fried or soaked in something sweet, sugar or some kind of syrup, nestled in a tortilla chip bowl which is coated with cinnamon and sugar, then all of it is drizzled with what looks like strawberry sauce but tastes like a mixture of strawberry and cherry and is presented beautifully.

As for the restaurant itself it is a mixture of fast food and restaurant, they have a board you can look at but also menu’s and a drive through. Not a lot of decor though it also depends on where you sit, I was looking at the back wall and would have liked some pictures to look at. The bathroom is kind of tucked away in back with no sign on it and smelled of mildew which is concerning, I would recommend having a plumber come look at the water hookups and/or sticking an air freshener in there. They have a pool table as well.

The service was great, the waitress seemed to know when we would be done, when we would need more tortillas, when we would be ready for our dessert, etc. She was also friendly and sweet.

The cost per person is approximate, it was about $30 for two people (28 something).

I will definitely be going here again. 🙂

My sister went in and asked for three large milk shakes after waiting 30 minutes they gave their order to another group of kids and when told they took the milkshakes from the other kids and gave my sisters half drank. milkshakes which were the wrong size and refused to make it right. Horrible experience
