Chole Bhature, a deceitful feast thou art! A plate dressed in grandeur, yet hollow at its heart. The Luchi, that pale cousin of the paratha, lies upon the platter like a knight who hath lost his armour, light, puffed, and full of empty promise. Beside it, a mere handful of chickpeas masquerade as royalty, scattered with pomp into dainty sauces and pitiful smears of onion, pickle, and curd; each one pretending to matter.
And lo! The plate, vast as the fields of Cymru, tricks the weary diner into dreams of abundance. But when the hunger is done and the purse left lighter, one cannot help but whisper, “Forsooth, this banquet of illusions is worth no more than six quid and that’s me being kind.”

I visited Mumbai Masala with a couple of coworkers from India. We were all happy with our food and they said it was authentic.
I especially loved the pistachio lassi!

Yes, this is great for veg traditional snacks. Very fresh and quickly prepared. Many variations of choices. Friendly staff. But not a cozy place to sit.

The place turned out to be a great surprise but quickly turned into a disaster. We had told our cashier that we were wanting to get food that was no onion, no garlic, and she was very receptive towards helping us and furthermore, she assured us that they could make food that was appropriate for kids. We were wanting to exchange a few items on our thali and we were willing to pay also for the exchanges. She just went on and on about how the charges of the items were different and how that was not possible so therefore we were OK with that and understood what she was saying. But the Experience went downhill super fast when we got our food the tindora shak had gone bad. When I was taking our tray to the table, I could smell something really bad, but was not able to isolate what the smell was. Upon sitting, we figured out it was the tindora. We had gone earlier in the day therefore it was obvious that the shak was premade days in advance or they practice very bad temperature regulation of food. The biggest shame is the cashier knew we were getting the food for our kids and should have known better not to give young people food like that. I’m glad we were able to figure out that the food had gone bad before feeding it to our kids. This place definitely has the mentality of making mass amounts of food, freezing it and probably giving it to people days after it is made or they are really bad at maintaining good food standards. There are plenty of other places in Atlanta that provide fresh Indian food. They offered free shrikand as a substitute as a replacement for the shak. There is no way I would give my kids a dairy item from this place after that incident. It’s a shame to see such low quality gujarati food being served.

We went on Ganesh chaturthi. Good authentic food specially the roti and bajre ka rotla. The pani poori was amazing too. The vada pav is normally very good and reminds you of mumbai streets but it was okay this time. Must give it a try.
Located inside global mall.

The food was wonderful and reminded me of my time in Delhi. I loved the chole bhature and chaat papdi. It was also nice to meet Ms Sushi at the register. She was a pleasure to talk to and made the experience memorable.
