The food was delicious! The chef was very professional and attentive to all his guests, which doesn’t happen any more. I truly appreciate this coming from the hospitality industry. He was very inmate and took great pride in his craft. The server was very attentive and kind. Definitely, will be going back, especially to fulfill my CV cravings

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a newly opened restaurant that has been creating quite a buzz! I traveled all the way from Connecticut to Massachusetts just to try it out, and it did not disappoint. The menu is a delightful fusion of African, Brazilian, and American cuisines, offering something truly unique. The flavors were incredible, and every dish was cooked to perfection. If you’re a foodie, this spot is definitely worth the trip!

What a wonderful gem of a spot. Went for breakfast. Food was amazing, and the chef was friendly and engaging. This is definitely now one of our go-to spots for breakfast and lunch in the city. The katxupa was superb, and the chef’s own hot sauce gave it just the right kick, without hiding any of its flavor.

I was told by a Cape Verdean family member about the recent opening of this place and had it on my list ever since.

Despite the ordinary sounding name, the cuisine here is a unique blend of Cape Verdean/American breakfast/brunch fusion. Got that? Lol!

I ordered one omelette cachupa and one tuna steak cachupa for my Cape Verdean-born and very picky eating family. They both said their meals were very good and cleaned their plates. Coming from them, that’s pretty high praise. lol!

So, if you’re on the lookout out for a unique breakfast/brunch spot, give them a shot.

An actual 5 star menu with dishes you’d never expect to all be in one place. Chef Papi is extremely receptive and willing to help the picky eaters, engaging, and is always happy to see returning customers.
Please support this restaurant- they are the reason I can never leave New Bedford.

Couple days ago I went there with my son for lunch. The coffee is amazing it isn’t watered down and above all they make homemade french fries which aren’t soggy and greasy! The owner who also is the cook comes out and talks with the customers when he has a moment and has a very outgoing personable personality. The side salad comes with mangoes on it and you don’t even need dressing when you eat it which is the first for us. If you’re looking for a good food and a small cozy comfortable atmosphere with very affordable prices for a sit-down meal this is the place to go. I read that there was a review that there wasn’t good portions and I find that to be the complete opposite and also the price range was definitely opposite of what I saw in the review and I had lunch. Breakfast is always cheaper than lunch. I look forward to trying their Chicken and Waffles which is reasonably priced at $12 just saying! I did miss Mimi’s kitchen that was there before it was one of my go-to but I am very happy that if I have to go without the prior breakfast lunch joint it was replaced by food as equally enjoyable!
