Welcome to home town food done right.
The flavor from this small menu will take you back to the good old stories Grandpa and dad told you about. Wild great burger and fries to cheese sticks and mushrooms, a little something for everyone. The staff will serve you up right and the bill doesn’t require a second mortgage to leave.

Very sweet staff, extremely sweet tea. Fried pickles were good, chips were good. If they made their own salsa and white queso (instead of a pace picante and white velveeta) that would make them stand out, it’s the little things. BLT and Burger were tasty. Didn’t wait long for food. Will go back, hope they continue to grow.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in the Houston area, not just in Montgomery county, that I would recommend to anyone. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff that take pride in what they do. The boudin balls are delicious as well. Never had to ask for a refill and had no complaints. Dakota was the best. Free pool on Sundays was a happy little bonus.

We recently visited and left feeling very satisfied with our meal. We specifically tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the Patty Melt, and both were hits. The chicken sandwich was spicy and flavorful, and the patty melt was perfectly greasy in the best way possible—exactly what you want from a classic comfort dish.
While we did have to wait a little longer for our food, this is a non-issue when you understand what goes into making food fresh. For anyone complaining about the pace, trust us: the quality proves the kitchen is taking its time and not just reheating pre-made dishes. The wait is a sign of care, not a sign of poor service.
The only area we think could use a small improvement is the mixed drinks. They were okay, but they didn’t quite match the high standard set by the kitchen’s food quality.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience centered around great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The minor drink issue is definitely not enough to keep us away. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The fried pickles, fried cheese. and rooster burger are great, but tea was rancid and chicken fried chicken portion was small. The condiments were from Walmart and tasted as such. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but after the second visit, I won’t be returning. Service staff were great and very attentive.

We decided to give this place a third shot even though the food was horrible the two times before and this time it was worse. We sat almost a hour waiting for our food and never got refills on our drinks. The food was over fried and over salted. We will not give this place another try EVER! They should have just made it a bar not a bar and grill if they can’t cook.

We tries eating there tonight, 08/20/25. We waited an hour for our food. The place was busy,but it was apparently just family. They were out of chicken fried steak and steak fingers. My wife ordered a patty melt that was on dry toast, undercooked meat, and half raw/frozen fries. I ordered fish and shrimp that was cold and raw when they brought it out. They brought out what was supposed to be cheese and chips. Looked like they squeezed it from a tube or something. They were giving can sodas which was fine, but they were gett ice from an ice chest. Time for a refill? No problem, they took your glass and scooped more ice instead of using a scoop or clean cup.They were nice enough to take 20% off my bill, when they should’ve comped everything. I highly recommend that you eat somewhere else.

This place needs more reviews! Big group, everyone got something different and enjoyed the food. Food was great, drinks were cold, service was excellent, and the prices are very reasonable!
