We stop here every time we go from Denver to South Dakota. Our favorite place to get some good food. The staff is always really nice, the location is clean and we love the upgrades.

Stopped for lunch as we were passing through the sign on the door said “opens at 10am.” It was 10:30am. The door was locked. I got back in my car and noticed someone came and unlocked the door. I got back out and walked in the worker who unlocked the door proceeded to say “sorry the door was frozen.” Despite me pulling on the door and hearing the lock. She proceeded to make my sandwich which was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the bacon chicken ranch. I assumed the ranch was implied so I wasn’t sure why she asked me if I wanted any dressings. When I took a bite my sandwich it fell apart, the bread was dry and there was no ranch. I went to fill up my cup with ice and there was no ice in the machine. The other worker (mom) had to put ice in the machine. I went to fill up my cup with soda and the machine didn’t work. “mom’ came back clearly upset and turned the key.
The workers are rude and very unprepared. Mind you this was 30 minutes after opening. I would think the ice would have been put in the machine and the key was turned on at the very least.

We stopped there today for a quick lunch while traveling. There was a tour bus parked out front, and we nearly got back into the car but decided to go in anyway. There were about 20 Japanese tourists in various stages of dining, and the women were working furiously to build all the sandwiches for them. They did a fantastic job taking care of everyone quickly and accurately. We got ours and set down for our lunch.

One of the staff was a bit rude because we created a line that went out the door. If you need the door shut at all times, it might be an idea to put a sign up? Customers aren’t made to feel welcome when you’re rude.
Appreciate it was clearly rush hour, but despite having food toasted, our sandwiches were left in a queue waiting to have salad added and went cold. I would suggest a better way of managing hot orders needs to be considered.

The location is clean, well laid out, and able to handle many people at once for a smaller place. The service depends on how many staff are working, & supply of food. Most of the time they have all the choices available. We’ve been when they were out of item’s. Like out of Meatballs for Meatball subs. Or some veggies. The toaster oven was not working on one visit. Staff has been short, lines can get long. Other than that it’s one of the few places in Lusk that stay open all day. Most close at 2pm.
