We had an okay dinner here.

No problems making a reservation for 2 on a busy Friday night in December, but I was surprised that we were seated right next to the (cold) door. Other parties that showed up without reservations seemed to get seated in the main dining room. It’s definitely a tightly packed space.

The hostess spent most of our dinner talking quite loudly on the phone next to us coordinating reservations which was killed any sense of a refined / elevated experience.

The food was good, but portion size for the pasta was small and closer to an appetizer. I’m surprised they don’t offer larger entree portions of the pasta, especially since the wait staff smartly warns people you’re only getting a fistful of pasta for the $25+. I ended up starting with a salad.

Overall the food was tasty, wait staff were friendly and attentive, but they didn’t make up for the limited portions and atmosphere.

We have been here for dinner a few times and it has always been fantastic. From the warmth and care of the service to the food being made with precision and love. There was no doubt this is where we wanted to have our wedding dinner.
After our initial inquiry about the event, the manager Arianna, was so receptive and accommodating to all of our requests. From the menu creation and adjustments to our needs and wants, she outdid herself at every turn. Then came time for the event itself.

Blown away!!

The room was set up wonderfully and even with that, she allowed our family to come in and redecorate the day before without any hesitation. The night of the event the party showed up 30 minutes early and they were ready and waiting. Appetizers came right out and wine was poured right on time. Being a BYOB, they made sure our wine was available and kept the glasses filled throughout the night, most times without us noticing.
When we arrived they allowed us to greet everyone and get our bearings before the first course came out. Throughout the meal, everything was paced perfectly, even allowing time to bring extra dishes before dinner to make sure everyone got a chance to enjoy them.
The food speaks for itself, A+ from start to finish, you can’t go wrong with anything here!!

The staff was professional and accommodating without being overbearing and as a lifelong restaurant professional, I notice these things. I can not thank them enough as they made the evening of our special day the perfect ending!!
If you are looking for somewhere to have an event or even just dinner, do yourself a favor and call them, you won’t regret it!!

It was a happy accident that we ended up at Andrea’s. We were planning to go to a restaurant by the beach- but there was a 3.5 hour wait (no joke). We called Andrea’s and they said they could seat us on the patio with no wait. They also mentioned that it is BYOB and to stop at the liquor store on the way! Our meal was delicious- my favorite of our trip. Save room for their ricotta cheesecake 🙂

I’m not usually a big fan of Italian food. Gave this place a try in a group setting, unfortunately, it only cemented my opinion.

Our group ran into a couple leaving the restaurant who had nothing but rave reviews for the chef, whom they follow around as he opens new restaurants.

Positives, service was relatively fast and they were able to seat us right away without a reservation.

The restaurant itself is rather cramped. Chairs against the wall, trapped in a corner kind of cramped. There was a banister separating tables, but it felt like dining with strangers. The atmosphere was dark and disconcertingly quiet before more diners began to come in.

They do separate their menu into first course and second course. While some items on the menu seem like traditional appetizer fare (calamari for instance), many of them are pasta dishes (which I personally thought was strange). The servers did mention that the so called “first course” dishes are meant to be appetizers and are smaller portions. Note this place is BYOB.

They had three specials: branzino, cod, and strip steak. They brought out a small basket of bread with some olive oil for dipping.

First courses ordered: carpaccio di polpo (4/5, tasty, decent portions, arugula gave it a nice freshness); calamari fritti (4.5/5 tasty, standard, didn’t overdo the breading); Spaghetti alla chitarra (2.5/5 clams were sandy/not properly cleaned, dish was bland); taglioni neri con gamberi (4/5, comes with 3 shrimp, not properly deveined); linguini alle vongole (3/5); soup of the day (cream of tomato, 3.5/5, made with real tomato)

Second courses ordered: orata alla ligure (4/5, part of skin was crispy (good), juicy and good balanced flavors with capers); costolette di manzo (2.7/5, cooked inconsistently half was tender and other half was dry).

Other things: service was nothing special. One of our group had a small wound and requested a bandaid, and the restaurant was unable to supply one.

The flavors weren’t anything special and tended to be more on the bland side. We noticed that the diners on average were older, so perhaps they’re used to catering to a specific kind of palate. Overall, not worth the price for the quality or experience. Portions are not gigantic but adequate, no complaints there. Flavors are rather lacking and the dishes didn’t really stand out. Not a fine dining experience, so don’t expect it to be. 3/5

Anniversary dinner. Wife a huge fan. She’s been to all the versions in S NJ. My first time. It was a good Italian home cooked kinda meal…me being Italian, wife not. Cozy… meaning limited space, but it was very nice and wait service was VG and very attentive. Reminded me of tastes from Vincent’s in Brooklyn. Which is a hella compliment. My way of saying “Go.”

Been wanting to come here for a while now, but their reservation system is a little bit challenging for making reservations, but we finally did it last night.

Food was very good and atmosphere is very romantic. We used to go to Support Italiano and now I think this is our new place. Chef makes authentic Italian food and brought us back to Italy with the pasta dishes. Just note the spaghetti is actually Pici type of noodles, not your typical American spaghetti but very tasty.

BYOB like most of the places here in Cape May. We hope they will fix the reservation system and make it a little bit more friendly to use. We had a reservation but it was written on their book so it was not in their system. We didn’t have to wait like Crazy amount of time but did have us wait around 20 minutes. Not too bad, but we all have areas of improvements. In summary, I highly recommend this place if you want to have authentic Italian food in a very romantic place this is it. I especially like their light fixtures. Almost forgot to mention that their dessert is one of the best. We had a pumpkin cheesecake dessert. It was light, delicious, full of flavor and super fresh. Our dinner had an amazing happy ending.

The manager was incredible! Kept checking up on us throughout our meal. I can’t remember her name but she had great blond highlight hair. Food was amazing. We went for restaurant week and the swordfish was Devine and appetizers (Burrata and gnocchi) exceeded our expectations. Service was more than perfect. Edgar provided a detailed list of the specials and gave exciting small talk that furthered our perfect experience. Overall, will be recommending to my cape May friends for the future!! Thank you!

We had the pleasure of dining here September 9, 2024. We were warmly greeted and received flawless service throughout the duration of our dinner. We are definitely foodies and wanted to try a little bit of everything. We started with the scallops and homemade ziti as our first course. Both were phenomenal. We also had the fried calamari, butternut squash soup, braciole and pollo al pepperoni. Every dish had layers of flavors, each more delicious than the next. The food was hot and portions were perfect considering this is meant to be a traditional Italian dinner (with multiple courses). We finished with the house made crème brûlée and orange ricotta cheesecake. Again, depths of flavor. Our waitress brought over complimentary limoncello as a finisher which was a very nice touch. It is important to note— this is a fine dining experience and the prices are reflective of such, but it is truly worth it if you value fresh, flavorful food -exquisitely prepared.

My parents invited my husband and I to join them for dinner to celebrate their anniversary. Overall, the meal was wonderful, both food and service.

My father and I both started with the scallops appetizer which was fantastic. 4 perfectly-cooked scallops on a tasty lemon cream sauce and nicely wilted spinach with “pancetta crisp” (which I’m 99% sure was just regular bacon but added a nice element nonetheless). My husband and mom both got the arugula salad with “truffle Pecorino” and artichokes. It was not particularly truffly (which as someone who doesn’t like the smell of truffle, I appreciated) but was a nice salad. I had a bite of artichoke and it was good.

My dad then got the veal Valdostano and my mom a special tilefish with crab, which they both enjoyed. My husband and I, pasta lovers, had the ziti alla vodka and linguine with clams.

And for dessert, my mom and I split the “chocolate fudge” which was a nice dense chocolate torte-type dish and the men enjoyed the NY cheesecake with blueberries.

Our appetizers, especially the scallops, were excellent; the entrees were good and a very reasonable price for Cape May; but if you are looking for pasta, go somewhere else. Not that the pasta wasn’t good, but it was so absurdly overpriced, I don’t know where they get off putting it on a menu.

We have spent a lot of time in Italy, we make fresh homemade pasta all the time, we know that pasta is actually meant to be served in small portions unlike a typical American restaurant, but this was a joke. The portions were comically small, truly appetizer size (which they do tell you) but they cost more than the most expensive entree size pastas we’ve ever seen. $25 for the ziti, which was mediocre at best, something we frequently make much better ourselves, and $29 for the linguine. To their credit, there was a full dozen steamed clams on the linguine, which in itself can run you upwards of $15-18 around here, but still. Both pastas were also undercooked. I like my pasta al dente, but this was a bit too under. Not to the detriment of my experience, but again, at that price, it had better be the best pasta I’ve ever eaten and it was far from it.

In summary: Lovely new restaurant with great food and reasonable prices (for the area) – as long as you skip the pastas. They’re decent but criminally overpriced.

Went to Andreas this past weekend – it was amazing. The arugula salad with the truffle oil was one of the best I’ve ever had. We also got the scallop special for an app- sooo good. We both got pasta dishes for our meal- 10/10! Service was great – we will be back!
