Taco Republic Corinth Square

Social Profile:

This laid-back, original style taqueria brings guests a diversity of flavors from Mexican streets and marketplaces where homemade “street-style” tacos originated. Now the opportunity to eat “real-deal” tacos in a casual, independent, not-your-standard Mexican restaurant is available to all. At Taco Republic we use traditional Mexican meats like Barbacoa and Al Pastor atop authentic tortillas and topped with the freshest ingredients. We create ethnic street food by slow cooking, smoking and braising meats to get the simplicity of freshness and exquisite flavor. For those with a bit more time there’s a comfortable patio to sit, relax, and listen to just-right music while you sip your favorite beverage and even play a game. Mi Taco, Su Taco!

The interior was recently remodeled and I was told the outdoor eating area was going to be updated as well.
The service was good with friendly staff.
The margaritas were very good!
We shared a shrimp taco and the chicken and shrimp fajitas. The food tasted fresh and came out hot!
The chips were thicker and heavier than we prefer. The salsa was bland.
Overall, very good experience all the way around.

Second attempt. My first one was …. Expensive. For what ya get. You know it. I know it.

Just popped in to get a couple tacos. Birrias should have a dipping tank. It’s what makes it.

Portion was decent. Flavor was there. But no sauce and that is just not the way to do it. Not to mention again, so expensive.
$5 for a taco is nuts.

I am actually surprised this place is still open.

I miss the Arby’s….. I think alot of people do.
They had meal deals, curly fries and dipping sauce !

Well ok. I am gonna take a little nap now.

The name was actually kind of misleading cause we were thinking it was gonna just be a fast food taco joint but they are actually a full service Mexican restaurant, have chips and salsa, and traditional Mexican dishes. All of the food including the enchiladas had excellent flavor. Service was fantastic. Was caught off guard and got way more than we we expecting out of this place. Will definitely come back here!

The vibe was great, and the decor was amazing. However, service was SUPER SLOW, we ordered quesdillas and Fajitas, and it took us a little longer than an hour to get our food. I thought the food was amazing, my mom did not, she said she didn’t like anything except the churros. Even though i thought the food was delicious, it was expensive, and the portions were super tiny. Will not be coming back again.

We’ve been a long time Taco Republic patrons. In fact, my partner’s worked there in the past. We received a gift card for the holidays and decided to go, after years of not. Sadly, this visit didn’t live up to what we hoped for. The food quality and execution missed the mark, and the experience didn’t reflect the reputation we have had in the past. The staff was courteous, the meal itself was disappointing to say the least.

I ate lunch here for the first time and it was delicious. The enchiladas were perfect, refried beans and rice were very authentic like my mom and grandmother used to make. The service was top notch and the restaurant/restrooms were very clean and orderly. I’m definitely going back again soon.

I will say for my first time, it was good and there is several styles of Mexican cuisine that you won’t find anywhere else. They have a Yucatan-style pork that is delicious and if you get the bowl, it is worth the money and your stomach won’t hate you and your palate will thank you, I definitely will give kudos to the Macha and the Queso is fire!!!

I have come here for the past year with my family and sometimes I bring new friends and they have always stayed consistent. I’ve never had a single complaint about this restaurant. The food tastes fresh, delicious, and they have amazing margaritas. The service here is impeccable. I came back today after some time and Maria was my server. She was highly attentive and sought to our every needs. Highly highly recommend this place if you like Mexican food. (They also have a shuffleboard)

Great service. Good Quesabirria tacos and sides of rice and beans. Lunch portion was just the right size.
Offers handicapped parking. Outdoor seating available with heaters and screen. Bar with alcohol served here. Margaritas on tap. Drive thru available. Plenty of parking spaces.
