Everything I ordered would’ve tasted better from the canned aisle at Meijer. I said what I said. Everything is just salty. The yams tasted just like Bruce’s. The Mac and cheese tasted like cheesy eggs. The greens are so SALTY AS WELL AS THE FRIED CHICKEN! The mashed potatoes were just peppered and needed gravy. Them oxtails my poor taste buds tasted like smothered corned beef. I said what i said.

Great Food. Definitely plan on returning. Love it how they have a menu that caters to those who don’t eat pork. Turkey Ribs. That was my first time ever having or even hearing of Turkey Ribs. Lamb Chops was delicious, whatever sauces they used 10 ’s up. Salmon was good. Not a big place but a few chairs and tables are in the lobby area if you are waiting on your food or just want to sit down for a quick bite to eat. Which I did and I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for the Great food and service.

Should have read the reviews first ! First and last time!!! Food was Salty , catfish was crusty fried hard but wet inside . Yams smelled good but thin little peices . Greens looked like can greens . Me and my fiancé lucked up on the all-day lunch special and definitely took advantage of it. On top of that, they surprised us with extra sides just to show appreciation, which really meant a lot.

I’ve eaten at this place before and the last time it was excellent. This time was just the same. The lamb chops were super flavorful. The yams were nice and sweet and the macaroni cheese was pretty good. It was better season the last time I had it but overall, I would definitely order again.

Tried them a couple of weekends ago. When I received the bag it smelt so good! I was disappointed in the taste. The turkey chops were fried perfect but was so salty. The fried Cajun turkey wing and leg was salty and dry. Even my kids said it was salty ♀️. The greens were too soft I need more firmness to them. They also were too spicy. The Mac and cheese taste burnt. The sweet potatoes texture seems of the can. The black eyed peas were ok. The carrot cake had too much pineapple and raisins but the icing was delicious. My oxtails were tender and flavorful. Some of my husbands were tough. The greens, yams, and macaroni had a good taste. I’m definitely going back to try other items. Pack your patience because the line was long. However, once my order was placed, I didn’t wait long because the food wasn’t made to order.

I went today after seeing a post on Instagram saying how good the food was. Well the line was long and slow which was ok and expected. I spent $100 to try several things on the menu. The Lamb Chops were delicious and full of flavor, The Turkey Chops were fried too hard and you can taste the grease they cooked them in. The oxtails were tough and 99% bone vs meat, and dry. The sides were just ok. I bought every side. The peach cobbler wasn’t too good. It was dry and all crust. I will go back for the lamb Chops. I must say they will do good based on the posts but they need a bigger location to accommodate the crowd who’s happy Southfield finally has a soul food spot.

I had seen videos of this place and so happy we finally made it! My husband absolutely loved the Lamb chops! I got the Turkey Chops and they were seasoned to perfection. We went with greens, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes for our sides which were all good!
