From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—you can tell they truly care about quality. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and the portion sizes were perfect. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

I love a hidden gem but this was not it. It took almost two hours to be seated, the tables were not cleaned properly, and the service was horrible. The drinks came out one at a time and on top of that I never received my drink, I had to ask another server for my drink. Waited for over 10 minutes to get a can of soda which is in the fridge behind the counter is crazy. Although it took about 20 minutes to get a party of 4 drinks, and another 5 minutes to get some cups of ice, and a few more minutes to get some straws; the food was good. The drinks were gone before the food came but the other server helped us out and got us more. *CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS* The menu prices and the prices on the receipts are not the same. Each item is taxed on the receipt and then at the end under your subtotal there’s more taxes. If you want to take your leftovers home, you pay for each container you ask for. Dine in experience was horrible. Not worth the wait, not worth the hype. Order take out if you can, just *CHECK YOUR RECEIPT*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
YC Ribs never disappoints! The food was absolutely amazing, the ribs were juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The creamy sauce with the mofongo added the perfect touch, and that little cup of green sauce was bursting with freshness. Everything on the plate looked and tasted like it was made with care.

Ribs are amazing and their sauce for the fried yuca is as well. Ill be going back to try some more items off their menu.
At the time of this review (march 2026) they seen to be a little understaff but their staff is nice and friendly, plenty of tables inside with some available at the time that I went by to order take out.

I had a very frustrating experience at this restaurant. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait, which we completely understood. However, after waiting for over an hour, it became clear that there was a serious lack of organization in how the seating process was being managed.
There didn’t seem to be any clear system for tracking the waiting list, and several parties who arrived after us were seated first while we continued to wait without any updates. Staff members appeared overwhelmed and unable to provide accurate wait times or explanations.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication. After an hour of waiting, we still hadn’t been seated or given a realistic estimate of when we might be. At that point, we decided to leave.
I understand that restaurants can get busy, but good logistics and communication with waiting guests go a long way. Unfortunately, the disorganization and long wait made for a disappointing experience.

Food was good, management is terrible. The prices on the receipt are 3% higher than on the menu (menu does not state cash prices only). I asked for truffle fries as a substitute, and they charged me an extra $7 for the truffle fries, when the different between the French fries side and truffle fries side is only $3.95.

When I asked about the upcharge, I was told taxes are included in the menu price, even though the bill also showed a separate tax line. When I brought up that the bill is adding tax to the subtotal (see pic), the manager Levy yelled at me and told me to to pay quickly and get out. Told the waitress he did not want us in the restaurant anymore.

The money I saved was given as tip to the waitresses, who were very helpful.

Honestly, this place has potential but obviously mismanaged. I went to eat with a friend. The place looks “bland”. Which is very odd for a Dominican restaurant. A tv here, a sign over there.. that’s it! No white walls, no mirrors, no jeweled accents pieces, not even a Dominican flag! It was very drab and disappointing. Especially compared to the Instagram page that looks very nice and amazing.
I recommend only going if you have more than two people or your forced to sit at the awkwardly placed two seat tables. Mine happened to be the only table in the middle of the room so I felt like I was on display.
Then comes the menu… I am not exaggerating, half the menu is blacked out with a marker. Then, of the items remaining, half of those prices were blacked out. Why would I order a dish and have no idea how much it costs? I don’t really eat too many fried things but there’s not much I care for on the limited menu, so I decide to get Pica Pollo. Reminder… this is a Dominican restaurant.
I was told, we don’t have Pica Pollo today. What! It’s Saturday, Valentine’s Day, in a Dominican restaurant… and there’s no Pica Pollo? Mind blown. Because it was the only thing I wanted in the few options available, I didn’t order anything. The servers didn’t bother to offer alternatives or try to sell me on something else. It’s a restaurant, the goal is to feed the customers and make money. My friend wanted something he saw on an instagram post. Well guess what… not only do they not have it available but it’s not even on the menu. Talk about bait and switch. He settled on Mofongo with skirt steak.
Food arrives and the steak is bland. He doesn’t even think there was salt on it. He said the chimichurri sauce was better than the steak and the mofongo was good if you scooped it with whatever sauce they poured over it. As soon as we were done, we left right away. Didn’t bother with dessert or anything else.
In conclusion, try at your own risk. Maybe you’ll have a better experience than me. The servers were nice ladies so the service was ok. But I can’t help to imagine if this place will be here in a few months without them making sure that Dominicans know this is the place to be (at least put a Dominican flag somewhere) AND having simple Dominican staples available EVERYDAY like Pica Pollo (fried chicken). Do better with these simple things and I would definitely try again but I won’t waste my gas nor money if this is their norm.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after seeing multiple videos on TikTok showcasing their food, and I drove nearly two hours each way to try it. Unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment.

First, customers should be aware that the prices on the menu are not what you actually pay. Every single item we ordered had an additional charge beyond the listed menu price. On top of that, half of the menu was blacked out with marker, including many prices, and there was no clear or upfront explanation about these extra fees. To make matters worse, after the per-item upcharges, sales tax was still added at the end, which made the final total significantly higher than expected. This lack of transparency feels misleading and unprofessional.

As for the food, it was extremely bland and underwhelming. I ordered the churrasco mofongo. The churrasco tasted like it had no salt or seasoning at all, and the mofongo was dry, hard, and flavorless. If it weren’t for the sauce on the side, I honestly would not have been able to eat it. It also did not taste fresh and seemed like it may have been sitting from the day before.

The beans were also very bland, which is surprising and disappointing for Dominican food. As someone who is Dominican, I expected bold, well-seasoned, flavorful dishes—and that simply was not the case here.

Customer service was acceptable, but that alone does not make up for the overall experience: bland food, high prices, unclear fees, and non-transparent menu practices.

Overall, I would not return and would not recommend this place. There are far better Dominican restaurants that offer authentic flavor, fair pricing, and honest, transparent menus.
