I love Indian and especially like any place where I don’t have to go into a restaurant to get it. I used to patronize the prior Indian place before they closed, it was some sort of wrap place. I had the vegi combo which was some sort of veggie deep fried veggies and a paneer with rice. It was really good.
I asked for naan but they don’t have it. I maybe apologize in that maybe this type of region doesn’t typically serve naan with.

Chowrastha – Indian Eatery – Dulles Mall is a new addition about a month ago. Manager friendly but working alone so any items like dosas not on the buffet means he has to go back into the kitchen and cook while customers who would like the buffet have to wait. Dosas were average. NO coconut sauce but peanut which did not taste the same. The potatoes were too spicy. Manager friendly and apologetic but we won’t be going back anytime soon. A shame.

We ordered chicken biryani for dinner and it was spoiled. We wanted to give a second chance so instead of biryani we ordered curry but the rice that came with it was spoiled too. We also got chaat and chicken puffs I can say that chicken puff was old and the chaat was terrible. Please avoid this place. We love the Herndon location but not this one.

I had high expectations when ordering the mutton mandi, especially given the $32 price tag. Unfortunately, the portion size was very disappointing — the amount of meat felt less than what you’d get in a $15 biryani. Flavor was decent, but the pricing does not match the quantity. Hope the restaurant improves portion sizes in the future.

Today, somebody was giving food for tasting. I thought they were offering tastings because other restaurants in the mall food court usually do. So I asked for a tasting of the Gobi. But they made faces, whispered to each other, and seemed to gossip while looking at me.
I ordered the Papadi Chaat, but I have never had anything like it before—just 2–3 pieces of Papadi with mostly liquid Motter Chola, sevai, onion, and pudina chutney. The taste was just like Motter sabji. Honestly, please don’t waste your money here.

Finally found some authentic South Indian food at the mall! I tried their fresh samosas — perfectly crisp with a flavorful filling. The puri bhaji was absolutely delicious, and the pani puri was fresh and full of flavor. Definitely worth trying! I’d love to have it again. Such a nice change to enjoy something tasty and authentic while the kids played in the nearby play area.

Every week they change their prices which is extremely high for the quantity and quality they give. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Go rather eat somewhere else its way better, cheaper and good quality food too. If you are regular there… still they messed up with you with their bullshit. Dont waste your 18 dollar just for small amount of food with low quality.

Worst service ever. They are never at the counter. Went there twice at different times and never got any server to attend the customer. They don’t even care to come out even if customer is standing and waiting. So can’t review the food because I could never try any. Please close down the location so someone else can use the spot. It is useless if you don’t attend customers.
