This was third time going and will be my last. Hamburger steak over cooked, very dry. Baked potato was fair,I did finish my salad. I can say that the friends I went with some did enjoy there meal, while another like me left most of hers on her plate.

It has been atleast ten years since I have eaten at the Village. It was the worst restuarant experience I have ever had. We went in and seated ourselves, didn’t see a sign that said wait to be seated. My husband and I was already immediately talking about how unfriendly the waitress was..almost rude like. We waited around 40 minutes b4 getting mozzarella sticks then few mins. later out came my husband’s cheeseburger and hot chips and finally my chicken quesadilla. They were not that busy. Not to mention the whole stopped up toilet issue. The owners know what I’m talking about here, that’s what matters. We have never felt so much like outsiders before, so unwelcome. Not to mention our bill was 35.00 and i.was still nice enough to leave a five dollar tip, because we always tip whether you deserve it or not! We won’t be back.

Arrived for lunch and found a table right away. We were greeted quickly and gave our drink order. We each had a burger which was well done and had gazillions of curly fries with it. Burgers were basic but reasonably good for a well done burger. Waitstaff was efficient and friendly.

This is a typical Meat and three restaurant but so much better than the usual ones I frequent. The servers know their customers by name and don’t mind razzing them in a friendly way. I had not eaten all day so I went “fresh’ BBQ with Texas Slaw (yes Texas) and white beans. It was all really good. When I asked the server what Texas slaw was she said ‘its really sweet’…..we have red and white slaw too. I went Texas since I have been to Texas yet never heard of nor seen Texas slaw. It was really sweet and I am not sure I’d get it again but it was definitely unique. I like unique. The BBQ was fresh. The sauce was on the side and was vinegar based. The white beans were piping hot and good as well. My travel partner got the 3 veggie plate and liked it. Their cornbread is different. Not bad. Just different. Almost like cornbread and cornpone had a pastry baby.

Great food! Great service! The staff was extremely friendly and captured the atmosphere of a small town. Great place to have a date night where you can just enjoy the food. And if the weather is right then you can even sit outside.

I have dined here a few time over the past few months. The sandwiches are eatable but nothing to brag about. However the wait stuff are wonderful and very pleasant to deal with. They have plate lunches/dinners that look really good if you like home cooked southern foods. There seems to be a lot of regulars that dine here. The place does not look very big on the outside but they have a good amount of seating indoors and a small dinning area outside. So if you pull up and the parking lot is full don’t let that detour you. We have always been able to walk in and get a table. Once I have tried their plate lunches maybe I’ll be able to give it a higher star rating.

We met some family and friends here. They had been here before. The restaurant was busy and we opted to sit outside. Our waitress came over quickly and got our orders. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered the appetizer sampler it was good. Our orders included Shrimp plate, Catfish plates, Flounder plate, and Quesadilla. The food was really good.

The Denton in-laws have been telling mouthwatering tales about the village for years and I finally made it in to dine, and I’ll be back. Great food and excellent customer service.
Thank you for hanging onto my toddler’s stuffed Hello Kitty and helping reunite them; you made her very happy.

Burgers were not impressive at all. Waitress never came back to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. Ranch tasted like tarter sauce (or cheap bottled walmart ranch). Another guy near us said that the ketchup didn’t taste good at all. And to top it off, when paying the cashier asked if everything was good. My mom (who was paying) nicely said “not really” and the cashier NEVER acknowledged it! Over $20 down the drain for 2 lousy burgers, fries, onion rings (which also wasnt good), and 2 teas. Very disappointed

Excellent service and food. Not much else to say, its a really good family resturaunt with plenty of seating and fresh food, and seafood. The Village burger is a solid American burger, and the beef was cooked properly, everything was served hot and was quick to the table and the price was extremely fair. The family that owns it is above and beyond, incredibly friendly and will make you feel at home. Can’t say enough good things about this quaint and lovely resturaunt.
