Masara
A Modern Indian Culinary Masterpiece in Kalyan Nagar
Masara, curated by MasterChef India winner Mohammed Ashiq, is a refreshing celebration of Indian cuisine with bold, contemporary twists. Located in the heart of Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore, the restaurant effortlessly blends tradition with innovation, delivering a memorable dining experience from start to finish.
The menu is a thoughtful reimagination of classic Indian flavours.
Standout dishes like the Prawns Ghee Roast Tacos perfectly balance coastal spice with modern presentation, while the Palak Patta Chaat is crisp, flavourful, and comforting. The Nihari Gosht is deeply aromatic and slow-cooked to perfection, showcasing rich Mughlai influences. The Lehsuni Palak Burrata is a beautiful fusion of earthy Indian greens paired with creamy indulgence.
Desserts are where Masara truly surprises. The Rasmalai Panacotta is inventive and delightful, offering familiar sweetness with an unexpected crunch, leaving a lasting impression.
The ambience is elegant yet warm, ideal for family dining, celebrations, or a refined evening out. Service is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable, enhancing the overall experience.
Masara isn’t just a restaurant it’s a journey through modern Indian gastronomy.
A must-visit for anyone who appreciates creative food rooted in tradition.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended.
This place is such a pleasant surprise — tastefully done interiors, warm lighting, and a bright, welcoming vibe. My better half and I actually drove over from Indiranagar to try the food by MasterChef Mohammed Ashiq, whose name we’d been hearing a lot about… and it was absolutely worth the trip!
The dishes were spot-on both in presentation and flavor. The Palak Patta Chaat lived up to its reputation — the puris were light and crunchy. We also loved the Raw Mango Pineapple Kulukki Sharbat, though the Desi Guava Punch came close — both had that perfect little kick of green chili spice.
The Awadhi Murgh Pasanda was a great starter — beautifully marinated, tender, and full of tandoori flavor. For our main course, we tried the Masara Special Chicken, and wow — what a dish! The gravy had just the right balance of creaminess and spice, and it paired perfectly with the Onion & Mirchi Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan.
We ended the meal with a Coconut Tres Leches, and it was superb — light, creamy, and a perfect finish.
Prices were very reasonable, which made the whole experience even better. Service was excellent — a big shoutout to Amento, our server, who was attentive, cheerful, and made great recommendations.
We’re definitely coming back to try more dishes soon!
We tried booking table for 3 and we were informed that place is all booked from 9:30pm. After reaching there at 9pm, we waited for table for 30 mins.
Food:
Starters: We ordered mutton barra and was properly marinated and perfectly cooked.
Main Course: we ordered Mutton Nahari, naan and butter roti. I was expecting mutton to be perfectly cooked and to my surprise it was not. It was very hard and half cooked. Gravy was perfect. Dropped our plan to order biryani after eating half cooked nihari. Rating – 7/10
Deserts: We ordered rasmalai, 10/10. One of the best deserts I have tried in recent time.
Drinks: Raw Mango Pineapple Kulukki and Berry float – Rating – 10/10
The tender coconut tres leches was delightful. The combination of tres leches and tender coconut works really well and the dish was not overtly sweet or heavy. It was a great way to finish a memorable meal. The kulukki is a must try and is a very refreshing palate cleanser.
The ambience was great and welcoming. The music was soft making it easy to have a conversation.
Chef Ashiq was very kind and welcoming and a delight to talk to.
To top it off the prices are very reasonable!
We tried the Palak Patta Chaat, Laal Angara Murgh Tandoori, Raw Mango Pineapple Kulukki, Chicken Rampuri Biryani, and Rasmalai Pannacotta
Every single dish was packed with flavor and beautifully executed. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious and thoughtfully curated. A truly memorable dining experience!
Note : Please do reservation and go, it’ll be fully packed.
