If you are looking for the Brenda Gant of southwest Va and NE TN this is the grandmaw cooking to go to! Betty has country cooking and I’ll post some photos and the menu. This is a very country style setting with lots of photos on the walls and what nots and a big wrap around bar where everyone sits and eats. There is wheelchair ramp also. Give it a try if you like country cooking like chicken livers and roast beef or a good burger and home fries!

Betty and our waitress were absolutely lovely, friendly and attentive. Our trip would not have been the same without our breakfast here. We got biscuits and gravy with bologna, French toast, and toast with Betty’s homemade apple butter and blackberry jam. Everything was absolutely delicious. We got to talk to Betty, an absolute light. We cannot wait to come back.

This place is absolutely amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy, sausage, and 2 eggs combo, and let me tell you, it took me back to my days growing up on my grandparent’s farm.
Back to the days of getting up in the morning, doings farm chores while granny cooked breakfast. Then, heading back into the house and having breakfast before getting on the bus and heading to school.
The owner, Betty, is super nice, friendly, and funny. She gives off that traditional southern granny feeling and very much reminds me of my own granny.
Most definitely come check this place out, you will fall in love with the good food and good old fashioned southern charm.

I had actually never been to the cafe before, but a colleague told me about it. We stopped by today for a bite to eat. The staff are professional, friendly and all around great! I grew up on a farm, so this place brought back so many memories and reminds me of more simple times, when there were no strangers and everyone was welcome at the dinner table. Betty is friendly, kind and full of laughter, just like the other staff members. I would recommend checking out this little cafe and just to let you know the food tastes great!

A small funky little diner where the locals hang out. I had the biscuits with gravy, bacon, and eggs. Just what my tummy was asking for!
The interior is filled with woody signs, memorabilia, photos of friends, family, and patrons, and even some artwork.
A great place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
