The place is absolutely epic and topi tier for down to earth service, food and deliciousness. If you want a foodgasm for brunch order anything and everything! Trache’ , The Manager Ruth, House, Alisha & Sydney and the front of the house and Chef Tia’s menu is ELITE! Enjoy a perfect urban grown and sexy lounge restaurant vibe and tell them Lalesha the Real McKoy sent you! I had the Lamb chops over Gouda grits for lunch and also tasted a friends Salmon and grits. Born from parents from NC I was eating grits before being born this place has food is that is TOP TIER PERIOD!!!! Need I say more?!!!

I got here at like 5pm, nobody was there but me and I was okay with that. I took my parents out to eat here for my first time. The music was great. The food was average. I took pictures of the appetizers, the southwestern egg roles were my favorite of all of them. Seafood dip was dry and needs a sauce with it. The other ones were average. I ordered chicken wings and they were just okay. My parents ordered fried shrimp and catfish. They said it was pretty good. Service was decent. Everything looked clean. Not sure if I will go back for the food but I would like to see what it’s like late night when people are there.

Normally when I post a review it’s about a new dining experience, out with my wife, but rarely do I mention when I do carryouts.. but I couldn’t keep this to myself. I’d heard people mention the Shadow Lounge & it was always good things, but I’d never tried them out until now.. & maaaannnn.. I’ve been missing out! The pictures don’t come close to doing the dishes justice. I’m sure if I’d dined in, the presentation would’ve been more alluring than carryout containers, but trust me everything was delicious. They even paid close attention to specific details & modified my wife’s order to meet her dietary restrictions.. & making it to her liking guarantees that we’ll be back.. & I can’t wait! They’ve got several other dishes on the menu that I’ll be trying out sooner than later..

I visited The Shawdoe Bar Lounge and decided to try the seafood egg rolls. At $15, plus an automatic 18% gratuity (applied whether dining in or taking out), I expected something a bit more substantial.
As you can see from the pictures, the portion is not a full egg roll, and the filling—made with shrimp and crab—was more of a pasty consistency than the fresh, flavorful bite I was hoping for. Unfortunately, the taste came across rather bland, and I wouldn’t recommend this item for the price.
That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. The R&B music during my visit really set the tone for a nice lounge vibe. I’d come back for the drinks, service, and ambiance, but I’d pass on the seafood egg rolls next time.

I have had excellent experiences and super poor experiences at this lounge. I have had servers approach me asking what I want off the menu and I have had servers who actually care. But the four experiences I will share tonight include two times I have come late on a Saturday night literally telling the hostess that I am there for hookah only to wait for 40+ minutes to be sat and then told they are out of hookah and having servers approach you like they are mad you came and they now have to work. Today, I went to watch the Super Bowl, specifically the half-time show and before it even started, they muted the TV’s to play their basic DJ whom you can come listen to any day of the week. The Super Bowl Halftime Show occurs for 15 minutes one day out of the entire year. You mean to tell me they couldn’t wait to play Lil Baby, Glo and Future after the Halftime Show? Annoyed was not even the word. It’s always something here; it’s literally like a box of chocolates as far as service is concerned from their congested parking to customer service, to your wait time, to your whole entire experience—it is literally always something. The only constant there is Chef Tia and her delicious food—I will never hate on her and she lowkey needs to disassociate herself… I swear that is the only thing that keeps that place afloat. Will not be going back. I am too cool off of being disappointed every other visit. Will resume visiting Northside, Sultana and Georgia St.

The ambience in this place was everything. The food was wonderful. The seasoning of the food was great. No one in our group complained about anything they ordered. The owner walked throughout spoke to everyone made sure everything was taken care of as did we need anything. That is unheard of most of the time you don’t even know who the owner of restaurants are if you have never been to this lounge, please go we were there for my sister‘s birthday and had a wonderful time. I almost did not order anything because of the ratings that people had given don’t believe it try it for yourself. We also had the best waitress in the world, so respectful so tentative.

We had a 27th party here… but things didn’t go as we planned. The manager made a miscommunication error and was rude and nasty about it. The owner was called he was nice but did nothing to make things better. They cut the music to our party to accommodate another group. We couldn’t use the outdoor patio space because of the other party. It was awful.
The upside is the server was amazing.. would I book another party here absolutely not. They didn’t seem to care about the mistake they made and then made it worst. They never even tried to make things right.

Had a great time at this lounge at brunch on Sunday. The place was very clean and when we walked in, it was a very upbeat and lively atmosphere. During brunch they have a live DJ that was spinning all of the great tracks that you want to hear. They have an outside patio here as a seating option. They have a full bar. There are also a multitude of TVs throughout the restaurant showing all of the football games on the big screens . They have lots of different drink specials from mimosas to Paloma‘s to French 75. There is a large fullystocked bar. I really also liked the peach Bellini … it was delicious. To eat I ordered the fried catfish, shrimp and grits and it was slamming! Very flavorful and very fresh and you can tell that they change their oil regularly because of the freshness of the fried food. This would be a great vibe for friends and celebrating for a popping brunch experience I definitely recommend. I would return. Also, the owner came out and spoke to us and he was really nice and friendly about explaining his menu, the style in which they run the business, etc. , so that was cool.

Went on a Thursday night to celebrate my BFF’S BIRTHDAY. Party of 5.
Thursdays are “Lamb Chops & Lemon Drops”
The lamb was cooked perfectly with NO GAMEY taste (IYKYK), paired with Broccoli and Mashed potatoes (loaded) everything was good.
Our Server Tanya was ON POINT with our drinks and food!!
The Lemon Drops were Delicious also!
Side Note…
they up charge 3% for Credit /Debit and Auto Gratuity 18% for Parties 4 and more.
The music was good also, as it got later, they started to change the music, which was Great for us!
Parking is okay, but by the time we left at 10:30 the lot was full and so was the avenue.
It’s kinda Ducked off, but it’s right across the side street from the Steak and Shake.
I will definitely be back.

I’ve heard the hype about this place and was very excited to come and enjoy the good food and service that everyone was talking about . now initial walk in my friend and I where greeted immediately butt after that everything went down hill. Food was last , Service was EXTREMELY SLOW and Food was EXTREMELY COLD and I only got fresh fish…. Never again. I do not recommend . And they did nothing to satisfy us and our experience . And charged me 87.00 for cold FOOD I’m soo upset how my experience
