I opted for the Duck Bun on my first trip and was not disappointed. The duck was very crispy, but still full of flavor without being dry. The bun was strong enough for a sandwich and soft enough to melt in your mouth. The pickles really set off the flavor and as a whole it was a real treat. I also ordered a side of fries which were perfectly crisp. On the way out I ordered a blueberry danish with an orange glaze that was both tart and sweet. I grabbed a chocolate and custard pastry treat for my wife and she seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.
The following day brought me across the path of Le Spice’s driveway and I suddenly found myself in the parking lot. From there I ended up grabbing another blueberry pastry and a croissant with dark chocolate in the middle for my wife. My co-worker “mistakenly” ate my treat instead of his during the day which I’m assuming he enjoyed. How one mistakes a blueberry treat with a mango one has yet to be explained, but he ate it without complaint or notice so I’ll call that a win for Le Spice.
Saturday morning seemed like a good time to bring the wife and kids for a taste. This time I tried the Thai Green Curry Bowl with chicken, and my wife ordered the Asian Steak and Eggs. We split the The Crepe Stack between our young girls. One of our girls eats everything, and the other is exceedingly picky. They both lapped it up and loved every bite. The curry was fantastic with an excellent coconut flavor and the perfect amount of spice. The flavor came through without being over powered by heat and the chicken was tender and flavorful. My wife’s steak was fantastic and perfectly cooked. The bacon was nice and crispy and the greens had what I assume was a peanut glaze drizzled over them. Whatever it was it was delightful. The eggs were just pretty standard scrambled eggs.
We shared some croissants and a bowl of French Onion Soup. The soup is incredible with lots of onions and a super rich broth, however ours did not have a traditional crouton and provolone on top. There was a seeded bread and a different flavor cheese. I’m not sure what kind of cheese it was, it was still very good, but not a traditional French onion topper with provolone that we are accustomed to. It also looked different than their other photos so ours may have been an oddity for some unforeseen reason.
I grab lunch on the go a lot and am afraid I may visit Le Spice a little too often now that I know about the goodness inside. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you give it a try I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
