Honestly, working in food service, the biggest thing you can taste is the oil that needs changing or it burns so fast due to frying the fish. I get that part, but come on, you’re part of Taco Bell, y’all can give a little more to it. Maybe have a separate fryer for the fish; the food would be mid-tier. Yes, order chicken because the breading looks good, but it needs a sauce or a seasoning to give it a chef’s kiss. Hush puppies aren’t bad at all. The waffle fries were so depressing and old, not even having a good crisp when taking a bite.

My fiancée picked up some food for me at the Salem “Long John Silver’s” because I’m down sick and can’t stomach much. I ordered the 2 fish/6 shrimp platter with hushpuppies and 2 sides. Not only did we not get either side we asked for (extra hushpuppies and coleslaw), but the fish tasted stale and greasy, and the shrimp were all chewy. Everything tasted like it had been under a warmer for 2 hours. The only things that tasted half decent were the 2 hushpuppies. We’re very disappointed! If we didn’t live all the way across town, we would’ve come back and asked for a refund. Disgraceful.

Got the 2pc fish meal with fries and it tasted like it was sitting around awhile and just heated up in old dirty grease! It was crusty and hard to eat! Disappointed with this location near my home.

They really need to make fresh chicken and fish and not give you all left over stuff that’s been on that thing for a while. You take it home to eat it and you have to throw it away cuz it’s no good.
