We are super glad we made a stop here. We always make it our mission to stop and visit local coffee shops and we had no regrets. They were so kind and inviting. I ordered a Café au lait and my wife ordered a vanilla cappuccino. Well, my wife forgot she ordered a vanilla cappuccino and added sugar to the mix, making it so sweet (almost undrinkable). We were prepared to order another one but we met with Beth, and she graciously remade the drink. It was perfectly sweet and just what we wanted. We even had the opportunity to get to know Beth a little more, when she came and chatted with us at our table. Hospitality at 1,000!! Will definitely go back when we visit New Orleans.

I was in NOLA for work and taking a morning walk on Canal Street. Happened upon French Truck coffee, one of the few places open at 7AM. What can I say, I’m a morning person.
They have a delightful array of pastries and the like but I’m making mostly healthy eating choices at the moment so I opted out.
My go to at a new place is the cortado. This was was a great and would be worth coming back.
The service is prompt and professional, and the interiors is a blend of modern decor with old world charm.

French Truck Coffee was super cute, clean, and a great spot first thing in the morning. The coffee itself was really good, and I loved that they use small ice, kind of like Chick-fil-A, which makes it even better. The coffee cups were also really cute and featured the logo on the side. They don’t offer sugar-free options, but they do have dairy-free alternatives. We only had coffee in the morning, so I didn’t try the food, but it looked decent. Pricing was fair for New Orleans, and everything was very clean. I’d definitely return.

I really really enjoy trying local independent coffee shops that roast their own coffee when I travel and French Truck was such fun. I came here every day and tried two pour overs and their drip and each one was really good. I’d never seen an automatic pour over machine and was honestly surprised how well it did. The two coffees I tried were an Ethiopian and a Rwandan and each was so juicy and balanced. The staff were very friendly and there was plenty of space to sit and enjoy a coffee and company. I definitely recommend this location if you’re in town for any length of time!

Pretty meh on the service side. Was told I can’t get a third shot added, only 2. But I could buy a separate shot and add it? So she served me a separate cup with the extra shot? Seems wasteful.

Coffee was lukewarm and pretty average.

Bathrooms were out of TP, paper towels, and soap. Wonder how the employees wash their hands.

French Truck Coffee’s New Orleans Iced Coffee is unreal. Smooth, bold, perfectly sweetened, and incredibly refreshing—it instantly became my favorite cold coffee ever. I loved it so much I had to come back the very next day for another one.

The French Truck, a corner so sweet,
A little coffee house, a cozy retreat.
Where a curious pastry, I found on a whim,
A cruffin, a croissant with a muffin-like rim.
Blueberries bursting, a tangy, bright hue,
With a lemon curd filling, so zesty and new.
A delightful creation, a delicious surprise,
A treat for the palate, and a feast for the eyes.

Love this local coffee place, a local answer to Starbucks. I like the name, the logo, and the! The coffee is very good. They don’t have varieties of food just pastries. Unfortunately, pastry isn’t my favorite. I tried a sausage roll. The sausage was too salty and oily but the pastry seemed nice, flaky and buttery aroma. The coffee didn’t take that long to make and the shop is nice and airy.

This location was great while visiting. We loved the kouign amans, croissants and praline coffee! We loved it so much we ordered the praline syrup and the coffee to our house. We are still searching for a bakery that makes Kougin Amans. Definitely try that pastry and the coffee, it’s so good!

Interior very nice and beautiful. Food just very average though. The popular iced coffee tasted just like any basic iced coffee. Rather it tasted more like milk than coffee.
Ham and cheese croissant was just fine. It was actually re-heated and ended up being slightly burnt.
