You can’t go wrong with the Get Real Cafe! Especially if you need gluten free options. My family and I eat here all the time when we’re in Sturgeon Bay (which is often–my parents live there). The food is fresh and delicious and the cafe owners are the best people! I personally bought a great gluten free cookie for desert and a gluten free scone for breakfast the next day. Gluten free is a little hard to find in Sturgeon Bay and Get Real Cafe is one of my favorite places to go for good gluten free options. If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere in Door County, they also deliver on that with local artwork for viewing and with some for sale.
I just have to share how touched I was this last time because my parents are regular customers and both owners came out to greet them and ask after my dad’s health (he’s been having some issues). They also sent him home with some complimentary clam chowder (the best clam chowder anywhere according to my dad) to help him keep his strength up. Both my parents also got a hug good bye when we left. You have to love business owners with huge hearts–at least I certainly do and I love these ladies for caring so personally for my family!

Farm to table, organic restaurant. Very good! 100% recommended. Local, organically raised veggies and meats. Order at counter and pick a table. Not terribly crowded when we visited, but got busy. Honestly have never tasted breakfast so delicious. We had biscuits and gravy with a side of toast and sausage, avocado toast, and a buffalo chicken wrap. All beautifully presented and served with a small orange smoothie. Breakfast and lunch hours. $$

I went in with my family thinking I would just order a juice. After I spoke with the friendly staff, I knew they could accommodate my allergy and I had a wonderful meal out. Must try the macerated red onions. So good!! And the purple paradise juice. My family ordered the Caprese melt w healthy bacon and there wasn’t a crumb left. Thank you Get Real Cafe! Great staff, friendly customers, and a nice big open area to sit and enjoy. Aloha!

We got the buffalo chicken wrap and the Free Bird. The wrap was good and had a sold spice to it! The Free Bird was alittle too dry for me. Could have used alittle more sauce. Definitely cute place for a mix of self service and full service. Order your food and pick your own spot to eat and they will bring it out once it’s ready. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here.

Wonderful. All other superlative add to this review. This is what American local dining experiences should be all about. My wife and I did a recent lunch and breakfast here and were super impressed with the farm-to-table local vibe and extrordinary chef abilities behind the kitchen. Love the place. Keep up the gr8 job all!! You ROCK!! My wife and I also appreciated the inclusiveness of this cafe…friendly and warm. The USA needs more local establishments like the “Get ‘Real’ Cafe!”

Amazing. There’s a reason this is the highest reviewed spot in the area. Per server recommendation got the French toast with a side of local pork sausage, and boy oh boy was that the right call. French toast was heartily above average, and the sausage was straight up incredible. Nice interior of the restaurant, food came quick, and very importantly the pice was very appropriate for the quality!
