Friends threw my birthday party here. We had such a blast. We had an amazing performer that night. I didnot catch her name but she is amazing. Drinks were delicious and when live performance was over DJ got the party jumping all night. Oh yes and loved the Hookah!!!!..and yes i did have an outfit change. What can i say it was my Birthday.

Security was disproportionately and irrationally aggressive. Searching for weapons is one thing, but they told us we couldn’t bring weed inside and confiscated ours plus our papers and grinder just for people to still be inside lighting up and the DJ encouraging it. Female bouncer damn near slid her whole finger through my and my GFs private parts and groped my gf’s breast looking for whatever while yelling at her like a drill Sargent and then had the audacity to fix her bra back afterwards. Weren’t allowed to go outside and return without the risk of wasting the entry fee. Weren’t able to retrieve confiscated items. Whole night felt like a humiliation ritual that WE PAID FOR. Wondering how much of which is legal…

My first time at Mingles and it was the Worst experience i ever had!! They overcharged us $80 and werent allowed to come back in. They basically stole our $80!! We wasn’t even allowed to grab the rest of our stuff. So if you wanna party for 30 minutes and the bouncers stealing money and belongings this might b your place. 0/10 Do not recommend!!

11/2.. paid $60 to go in— paid $40 for drinks and $8 for fries.. Sat down to eat and drink at a table only to be told I must Get up NOW- because someone wanted the table …the waitress was very disrespectful –i would never go back there or recommend any of my friends … I lost over $100 in 15 minutes– that girl need to be fired

Was treated there for my birthday. Not a very easy location to get to if you live on the other side of the Bronx. Cool restaurant. Was empty when we got there. Which was around 6 pm. Love the drinks and appetizers that was right on the money. My main meal was ok. But guessing things pick up around there around 8 ish that’s when the live band started. The birthday person eats free but drinks are not included

Drinks: we arrived an hour before happy hour ended at eight and was able to order five drinks in that time. The rum punch is really strong so it had a prominent liquor taste, which I didn’t enjoy, but my friend did! I also got a Long Island, which was good, and finally we ordered a strawberry margarita, which was also good! Between the 2 drinks, we were definitelyyy lit .
Food: Ordered the lobster and shrimp, fried rice in a pineapple platter, which for $35 to me was worth it! My friend ordered chicken and waffles, she said it was good. Food did take a while to come out is my only small complaint about the night, but it’s understandable for a busy spot!
Atmosphere: lots of blinking/flashing lights. Music went from volume 75 to like 1000 around about 11PM lol so it definitely got harder for us to hear each other. The music was a heavy mixture of R&B, old hits, new, popular hits, Dancehall, and a splash of reggae all from a live DJ. I would’ve loved to hear some Soca given that I am a T & T girl but hey ♀️! There’s a dance floor, as well as plenty of seating options.

Surprised to see Delroy Morgan in the house. Unfortunately my food was served cold. Overall I would recommend Mingles for the live music and good food.
