Came here for the holiday with family. The Christmas setup was festive got some good pics. The place was quiet and fast to get the food out. The food was ok tasted salty and served a good amount, I was expecting more traditional options like chicken Mole but they didn’t have on the menu. The faijtas were good just more vegetables then meat. In all not a bad restaurant.

We came in as a large group of 15 and we were quickly seated. Service and waitress were very good and attentive. Food was moderate size and good. Overall good experience EXCEPT the music was very outdated from back in the 60s. Restaurant should really consider playing more music of this day and age.

I came here all the way from Albuquerque to try this spot and was not good at all ,flavorless food as well as the salsas , the rice was spoiled. The restaurant was empty and the food took long to come out . Do not recommend!

Los Agaves in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico is an amazing place to eat. The service is excellent from the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which really makes the experience special. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The food is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and always fresh. I highly recommend the quesadillas, they’re hands down one of the best items on the menu. If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere, Los Agaves is definitely worth visiting.

We came to Ruidoso from Albuquerque stopped by to get food, excellent food and service very cozy inside we ordered the Al pastor tacos and los agaves fajitas very good we also had a chorizo queso which was amazing! Their mango margaritas are also very good and they have various flavors to choose from. Definitely recommend.

Yeah, disappointing with the tase of food. Came by to spend the day in Ruidoso and wanted to try something different than the places on the main strip. Pretty much the same as other 1 star reviews. I’m a Google Guide and always post my true review of my experience. Definitely not coming back here. Look at my review history, I don’t normally leave 1 star reviews. This place needs to reconsider how they prepare their food. Crispy taco shells are store bought and not fresh fried.

I ordered tacos asara and got a taco bowl but I did not say anything and thought to myself it’s fine just eat it but then the girl was too busy eating behind the bar and would not bring my ticket after I finished. I started to walk out and then she saw me and rang me up. Staff unfriendly and I felt I was bothering them.

Reminded me of typical Mexican open cabin atmosphere with quaint Mexican decor. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The best Mexican food I’ve had since I lived in Mexico. I visited twice and had el comal the first time and molcajete the second time. Absolutamente delicioso y porciones generosos. They had my favourite Mexican beers as well, Tecate y Indio! I want to move to Ruidoso, NM, just to eat here todos los días! Bravo los agaves! Hay regreso.

Delicious! Great decor! Clean and inviting. Something different and exciting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased with our meals. The queso was awesome perfectly balanced… Not too hot… Not too mild. One of the best relleños I’ve had in a while. The tacos are so good and crispy. The beans are divine. Oh good golly the Churro Dessert You need helpers to share but… It’s the Bomb !!!

Food is terrible. Two out of four plates went back for being cold and 1 plate canceled for bad taste. Tortillas were as hard as chips. Crispy taco was so soggy it could ne be eaten.
Waitress didn’t even bother to come check on us or bring us water.
