This is a great spot to get your Thai food craving fix. I’m a frequent visitor to Thailand and the food served here is super close to what you can get in Thailand.

The pad Thai here is the best I’ve had in NYC.

The mango sticky rice is fantastic.

The service is quick and friendly.

It’s just a small place and there isn’t a restroom.

Overall a great place to eat!

What a solid spot to get Thai food. Portions are adequate, not big. Flavors are layered, complex, bold, and often with a subtle hint of spiciness. The atmosphere reminisces of the street hawker that you would find in Bangkok: small chairs, no public bathroom, friendly faces. To sum it up, it’s simply good spicy food. The only complaint I have is that sometimes their Pad See Ew could be a little on the greasy side.

cute, casual thai place with quality homey dishes. service is always friendly, quick and environment is cozy. tables are a bit tighter together bc of the space but if you keep things to a smaller party its great. i love their kaprow tilapia and fried dumplings. their pork and rice soup is also great. theres no restroom but if you live nearby its easy to remember to go beforehand, if traveling it would be great to stop off at the mall or other destination first

Small spot but always hits the spot!

A hidden gem in Queens! It’s a small restaurant, but it never disappoints. This has always been my go to spot whenever I’m craving delicious Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The flavors are authentic and satisfying every time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

My friend and I found this place by accident when we were a couple of blocks away and found out the restaurant we were going to visit had a 90 minute wait for a table. I am glad we ended up here. The service was spectacular and the food amazing. Great prices too. Seafood over rice for only $12.

Bon Chuu has truly become one of my go-to restaurants over the past year. My wife and I come here often, and every visit has been a wonderful experience.

The food is consistently amazing — our favorites are the Pad Thai, Pad Prik Beef, Chicken Rotti Curry, and of course the refreshing Thai Iced Tea. Each dish is packed with authentic flavor, perfectly seasoned, and served in generous portions. The balance of quality and price is unbeatable, which makes it even more enjoyable to return again and again.

I also want to highlight the service. Kim is always warm, attentive, and welcoming. Their hospitality makes every meal feel special.

Beyond the delicious food and excellent service, Bon Chuu has become part of many good memories in my everyday life. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a place that makes you feel at home while enjoying incredible Thai cuisine.

Highly recommended!

This is an affordable adorable small Thai restaurant with a lot of different options. The food is amazing here. The interior of the restaurant has this beautiful artistic wall paper and the waitresses are very attentive and kind. We got the chicken panag curry and the squid pad thai. They were both delicious.

If you’re craving real Thai flavors, BoonChu Thai Place is a must-visit! The crispy pork basil here is packed with heat and flavor—perfectly spicy and aromatic. The pork nam tok is another highlight, especially when paired with sticky rice.

But the real star of the meal was the Thai fish cakes—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

What truly made our visit special was the lovely Thai server who took care of us with such warmth and thoughtful recommendations. Thank you so much—we’ll definitely be back!

This place makes a valiant effort for bringing Thai flavors to a value-oriented lunch place, but some things detract from the experience. I went with a Thai national and he had the papaya salad, saying it tasted nothing like it should and left out key ingredients such as fish sauce. I had the basil chicken over rice, and there was a LOT more rice than chicken. The chicken had a weird fish sauce flavor, which should’ve been in the papaya salad, not the chicken. The prices seemed good on the menu, but the portions were small. The best dish tried was the chive pancake, which was an appetizer costing $9. Finally, it was dinner time but only one waitress was to be found, so when other customers came in, service slowed. As a lunch place, Boon Chico’s a better option if you’re nearby and you’re tired of the Chinese places nearby. For dinner, pass.
