First time visiting this cozy place with my husband after a Google search for a fish & chips place in the Duntroon/Stayner area on January 30th, 2026. I am surprisingly pleased, the service was great, accommodating, and attentive, the Food was fantastic, I have many allergies, especially to wheat and dairy, they were able to customize my fish dinner tailored to my restrictions, the food was fresh , well prepared and well portioned, the waiters were attentive to refills and ensuring our satisfaction. I truly recommend this family owned and operated homestyle restaurant, we will definitely make it a new favorite!

This is an honest family run business with fair prices, good tasting food, and reasonable prices. The inside décor is modest, but the service is great and the food is enjoyable, with a wide selection, and a rotating menu of special deals. My wife and I were hungry and stopped at this roadside resturant, we had the haddock and chips. It was great fish and chips!! The guy working seemed indifferent when we got there but I realized it is just who he is and who am I to judge, I was there to get food lol. As we ate and got to know him he was much better. Would recommend eating here to anyone that is in the area

While visiting a family member, I passed through the area and stopped for lunch before heading back to Toronto. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu offering a wide range of options. After much contemplation, I settled on ordering the Fish and Chips. I’m so glad I went with that choice because the fish was expertly battered and cooked to perfection, making it one of the most enjoyable fish and chips experiences I’ve had in a long while. The homemade tartar sauce served alongside the dish was exceptional, and the French fries were simply delicious.
I want to thank Robert, my server, for his attentive service throughout my dining experience. His professionalism and friendliness enhanced my overall experience at the restaurant. I also found the place’s ambiance cozy and welcoming, contributing to the lovely, family-friendly atmosphere.
I would highly recommend this charming family restaurant to anyone in the area or passing through. It’s certainly worth a visit for the fantastic food, excellent service, and pleasant ambiance.

It’s been a long time since i’ve been at a fish and restaurant where the quality of the food and the amount given is excellent. You either get fries that are soggy, more batter than fish or everything’s greasy. Blue water, fish and grill is none of these. I have to say the quality of their batter, the amount of fish served, and the manner in which the fries are cooked are all excellent.
When i’m back in town, I’ll be back there for lunch again.
