Drive by Chao’s Food the other day and my wife suggested giving it a try. I called and ordered at 1130am, they had lunch special prices for the bento and dishes, I ordered the Singapore Fry Vermicelli, Honey Roast BBQ Pork rice set, Popcorn Chicken, Salt & Pepper Fried Tofu, Garlic Sauce Eggplant and Fish Cutlet w/ house tartar, also ordered 2 drinks (Jasmine Tea and milk tea for 1.75ea). All of these for $67. If it is not for the lunch special prices, I will not think it is worth it. But because of the lunch special, I do think they are worth it. The food is pretty decent and tasty, however, the vermicelli has way too much curry powder, that’s why it is so yellowish in the picture. To get the lunch special prices, you do have to call, online will not have those prices. Chao’s also serves a family dinner menu that has different types of dishes every night. You can order for 2, 3 or 4 people, and their price is very reasonable, I am definitely going to try them next month.

Chao’s is a great place for variety, solid food, and amazing customer service. They have a strong selection of lunchbox-type Taiwanese options at reasonable prices. Gary always makes sure that everything is alright with my order and goes the extra mile. Support your local businesses!

It’s good for busy families if have no time to cook. Food quality is so so. I tried twice and chicken was overcooked.
Price is wonderful and what you can complain. Different menus daily provide various choices.

Cash only! $40 for 50pc frozen dim sum. They were really nice and able to split them (25 shrimp dumpling, and 25 shau mai). Looking forward to trying their pork buns, dinners and such options. They mentioned that any dinners order must be made before 3pm, first come first serve. Small mom and pop shop.

It seems like only delivery drivers come here to pick up takeout orders. They have plenty of tables to sit at, but nobody but me sitting in them. And they seemed a bit confused by my presence, honestly.
You can only see a menu by scanning a QR code andb only order on your phone.
It’s like, they got so used to COVID-style restauranting that they and their customers forgot how to eat in.
It wasn’t unpleasant, just empty and confusing.
