My husband and I visited Novino for the first time yesterday, 2/10/2024 for an early dinner. It was a great find. We know it’s been there for a while but never tried and we’re very glad we did! Great service from Craig. Thank you very much! Great food, good size serving and reasonably priced, good ambiance and clean. Also so happy to finally found our favorite waitress/server from a previous restaurant who works there now (Maura). Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.

My first time at Novino with two friends was a few Sundays ago. I fell in love at first sight. The decor was very tasteful. The bread was delicious! The waitress was friendly and made a great suggestion. Since side salads do not come with entrees, our waitress suggested we order a larger salad and split it among the three of us. The entrées were plentiful and tasted authentically Italian. We were planning to return to Novino today but unfortunately they were closed due to a damaging fire. They expect to be closed for quite a while. Wishing the owners and staff a successful renovation.

Just finished an incredible dinner here. Our waiter Craig was outstanding on every level. He asked how we wanted the food paced and did not rush us at all. He left time in between our courses so we had time to digest a little bit and truly enjoy each dish that was in front of us. All of the things we ordered were delicious. Meatballs, rice balls, mussels, drunken chicken pizza, chicken parm over linguine and homemade cannolis. I cannot wait to come back!

Lived in Jersey from birth 1960-2004 …..But I also love Tennessee too…..I spent the first 44 years of my life in The Garden State…and I wanted to give my Tennessean friends a true experience in an authentic Jersey Italian Restaurant and I got nothing but fantastic feedback from all of my Tennessee friends.

Update to 2024- The quality has gown way down. The pizza used to come with thick delicious pepperoni. The cheese used to be generous now they’ve changed a lot and the pizza is standard. Sparse thin pepperoni and barely any cheese sometimes. I don’t like the new change therefore we’ve stopped coming dramatically less. We also dont live very far but sometimes paying the $3 plus tip becomes annoying I hope some of the delivery goes to the driver because I hate the new trend of business charging delivery fees plus asking for tip. The photo I posted of the pizza during covid is no where near what the pizza looks like today. The change in quality and generously of the toppings has brought us elsewhere and it’s sad for us we loved this place. Also I understand price changes but the price of the pasta vs portion is absolutely absurd I will probably never order that again.
My review for the COVID situation. This pizza place has been holding us down . It’s always fresh it taste great. Not just great but amazing the flavors don’t taste cheap. It’s always hot and fresh and when they deliver if you don’t hear the door the sweet woman called me to let me know she left it there. I’ve been to all pizza places in my Mahwah area and hands down this is the best tasting for pizza. I like their wings as well they always do them how I request it. Oh and the garlic knots are great super soft I bit into it and my face sunk into the softness… I’m in love…

Great Italian spot. The staff and owner were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and fresh. BYOB is also a bonus. You will get a big portion of hearty delicious food. You can tell they care about the food and the people they serve. I highly recommend it.

Very good experience here! Staff was extremely friendly and our waiter definitely made the experience. My friend and I got calamari as an appetizer and it was so good we devoured it! I don’t remember what my friend ordered (since we went last week) but I got the Chicken Parm and they were very generous with the amount of food that you probably will have leftovers. Food was great and their sauce is really good as well! 5/5 rating for this place. Worth a stop if you’re in the mood for Italian food and visiting. They also have pizza there as well!

First time customer for takeout pizza. The Volante Pizza didn’t have the added garlic on it and the box smelled like seafood. I paid extra for the garlic. The Toscana was okay it had high quality ingredients. I wanted the salad but the house salad wasn’t available. The other one was $15.00 that’s too expensive for a side salad. Sorry you guys for the lower review.

Service was great, thank you Craig. Bathroom was clean. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious. We ordered a variety of food to try: eggplant meatballs were rich and seasoned well with a deliciously crisp outside. The Cabernet was smooth and tasty. The pizza’s crust was thin and crisp and the cheese was good- not too greasy. The Lasagna both meat and eggplant had just the right amount of seasoning. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommend.
Had second visit and they did not disappoint. The only down side is they don’t have a liquor license so the only spirit sold is wine. Other than that, our server Maura was great and attentive. We ordered the pizza and oven roasted Brussel sprouts. To finish things off, we have the chocolate cake and coconut gelato. Nice to see the food is consistently good as well as the service. Will definitely go again.
