We also tried the pasta, which was cooked perfectly al dente—exactly how it should be. You can tell they put a lot of heart into their sauces; every bite was delicious.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. It’s so refreshing to see the owner on the floor, actively checking in on guests and making sure everyone is well taken care of. That level of care really shows in the food and the atmosphere.
I’ll definitely be back soon!
Edit to reply to the reply below: as stated, I did say something and all I got was “oh sorry haha” is the restaurant knows that they messed up and they are good, they will just take it off of the bill instead of making me ask for it. As for the mozzarella sticks we ate them because they were there. They were just okay and again, nothing like your other restaurant which is what I expected. A dish eaten does not mean dish enjoyed.
Well, let me tell you I am a definite foodie. I eat out alot in North Jersey as well as New York City and then when I travel the country on business, and this little spot did not disappoint at all.
We started with several pizzas as I love a thin crust pizza, and this was on point, we had the “Cindy D” grandma pie, and “that’s my jam” pie, check out their pizza menu that alone will have your mouth watering.
For dinner, I had the sweet and heat glazed, pork chop, with bacon, apple slaw, and cheddar mashed potatoes, and it was out of this world. The flavors were phenomenal. The pork was tender and juicy cooked to perfection. my friends dishes were amazing as well, as of course we all had a fork full of each other‘s. One person had the broiled salmon, one had the chicken Parm and the other had a pork chop Milanese all of which were done perfectly. For a starter, we all shared the grilled broccolini and baby cauliflower and the Burata, for a salad, we all shared a couple of orders of the arugula salad, which again was very flavorful with a lemon olive oil vinaigrette. I’m only sorry I didn’t take pictures to share, we were engrossed in such great conversation catching up that I didn’t think to pull out my phone until it was too late, and the food was gone. I will next time for sure because I can guarantee you there will be a next time.
By the way, it’s BYOB which are my favorite kinds of restaurants. I love bringing my own bottle of red wine. Pricing was very fair and the portion sizes were more than you would expect nowadays, let’s just say not one of us left hungry.
Desserts were awesome. We shared a cheesecake, Keylime pie, and lava cake with vanilla ice cream, all delicious.
Bottom line, great place, fantastic food, comfortable, and easy atmosphere for a pizza and appies or a delicious sitdown dinner, that won’t break the bank and bring that bottle of wine, enjoy.
I can’t say enough about my experience. It was fantastic. I’ll definitely be back.
