I like taco john’s and usually get a stuffed grilled beef taco. This is not what I would describe as “stuffed” to someone. This is definitely less packed than normal, so I got ripped off. And if I’m nitpicking, they didn’t get the press right either. That’s with a machine doing the work, so I am impressed.

I’m upset that I even have to give them a star because they don’t deserve it. Pulled up to the drive-through and tried to order a six pack and a pound for the gentleman over the speakerphone to tell me that he didn’t have enough beef to fulfill that one order. I then left – a fast food taco place doesn’t have beef….? Or is it that the work ethic of the younger generation is dwindling.

This review is replacing a previous 5 Star review. Normally, I get good service at this location. Today was an exception that caused this location loose my business. I ordered 3 softshell tacos and 2 jalapeño burritos. I got home, and there were only the burritos in the bag. I called the store, and the manager said I was “welcome to come back and order them” but since the order taker did not key in the soft shells there was nothing he could do. I explained that their mistake cost me time and gas money, and that I was not willing to drive back to pay full price for the tacos that they failed to key in. He repeated there was nothing he could do. I told him I would take my business elsewhere, and he replied “sounds good.” No apology, no acknowledgement of his mistake, just telling me I’m welcome to drive back and place another order.
This took place on Tue Oct 21st, 2025 during dinner. I hope the manager follows up on this service. Maybe he can learn from McDonalds next door, where I ended up taking my business. They made a mistake, too. Then they apologized and offered to replace the product on my next visit.

Just pulled up at 649 pm on a Friday night and the man at the order window said 5-10min not telling us anything about ordering or waiting. Went ahead and told them anyway. Pulled up 1 car in front of us. They received their food. We pulled up to pay and the man at the window just said 10-15 wait. Still not sure what they were talking about he said they can’t take orders at the window. Horrible customer experience. Front door sign not on looked in the front window and there were 3 gentleman standing around. This is my local taco John’s and I can tell you this I won’t be back.

Come on it’s TJ’s-you eat the crispy tacos, potato ole’s and cheese. Though I eat the chicken street tacos-seem healthier at 120 cals each (don’t quote me) with good flavour and fresh pico. Don’t forget the Apple Grande. Check out the daily specials and I guess they now have breakfast. Will have to try that out. The staff at this location is friendly, very nice and quick to fix any errors.

Okay, I have to share an experience. I just left a negative review for Taco Bell. About 2 miles from the store.
On august 22 I went to taco bell down the street I waited 11 minutes, did not get waited on while everybody at the drive thru was getting waited on (about 8 to 10 people). The manager said after eleven minutes it’d be quicker if you used the kiosk. I am not an employee of taco bell. I generally don’t use self check out either.
At any rate I drove down the street. Four minutes away walked up to the counter at taco john’s. After three minutes I had my food and was out the door. I just want to say a lot of people only leave feedback when they’re upset. I am just the opposite. But occasionally I do leave negative feedback.
Taco John’s your people did a great job. Keep up the good work, thank you.
