Great bar if you want a drink while having your toes in the sand. They have an extensive drink list, but a VERY limited food menu. They serve food in to-go containers even if you eat there probably for easy clean up. My husband got a cold beer, and I had a $13 Lava Flow – which was a watered down, melted mess with very little taste.
The BBQ chicken pizza was delicious though – and the view right out on the beach couldn’t be beat. If I were to go back, I wouldn’t order a frozen drink and would opt for something in a bottle.

Was here in the evening for a birthday party at the rental space near the bar. The fun continued at The Star after. For a Saturday night it was not crowded at all and it was a gorgeous, low humidity evening to enjoy such a venue. Plenty of seating, along with wonderful cabanas and fire pits to relax around. Family style games are laid out. The prices were okay, about what you would expect to pay. It really is a gorgeous setting and if you’re staying around the vicinity there isn’t a whole lot else to choose from so it’s worth a visit! Gorgeous setting, lighting, fun. It’s probably a beast in the heat or a hot night. But if the atmosphere is cooperating, GO!

Avoid Star Beach Bar in Wildwood, NJ, at all costs! This place is an absolute rip-off with terrible prices and horrendous food. I ordered what was supposed to be a wood-fired pizza, and what I got was an abomination. For $17, I received a pathetic, tiny portion that looked and tasted worse than a cheap frozen pizza. Honestly, Tony’s frozen pizza has better flavor than this so-called “wood-fired” disaster. The pizza was bland, overcooked, and utterly disappointing.
The audacity to charge such high prices for such low-quality food is infuriating. This place is a complete joke and an insult to anyone who appreciates decent food. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. Star Beach Bar is not worth your time or money.

I brought my first wife here. The Star Beach Bar was a fun time for us. My initial impression was WOW because of the palm trees. The staff was fun and the drinks were great. You have to watch for the seagulls cause they will rob you of your burger. The huts with couches are perfect for getting that caribbean island beach vibe. Thank you for a great time. Beach bar behind Icona Diamond Beach Resort with great beach views and palm trees is probably the only good feature of this location. Service was good too, but, the drinks were not good at all. I generally rather not post a bad review, but, I felt I had to with this location as it could easily be corrected with better drinks. We ordered Pina Coladas made with barely any alcohol and were very bland with no flavor. The texture was similar to a Rita’s Italian ice without the flavor. I did not notify the bar that it was bad as for the price ($10/each) and location the drinks should be at least ok. This is our second visit to this location and our first was slightly better but still not at par where a drink on the beach behind such a prestigious resort should be. Would not recommend this location.

This place is a slice of South Beach, right at the Jersey Shore. Great eats, fire pits, cool drinks, live entertainment, and reasonable prices. Parking can be a little challenging if you are not a hotel guest but it’s well worth the scenic walk. I love this place!

Why not have decent food? The employees don’t even eat here. Spoiled lettuce disguised in a chicken wrap – pizza with four or five slices of cheese on sauce – school cafeteria burger patties. It’s so bad we were laughing about it. How I wish Icona properties actually cared about anything but turnover. It’s a great place for drinks. Eat elsewhere.

This place has incredible potential to be the best place to spend a night in Wildwood, but the two most important things are really 1/5 stars: food and drink.
The first drink “Shooting Star” smelled and tasted like rubbing alcohol, the menu is different in person than in real life: much more limited in person. Luckily we were able to exchange the drink for a blue one, so the bartender was nice for that.
We really wanted to like this place, music and atmosphere was great, but drinks sucked. They need to invest in bartenders with great experience & with a bartender license.

One of the best beach bars in the area. Good views. Great music. Happy hour prices are solid too. They just close too early at night. We got our last drink and then had the doors closed on us ha ha.
