The only thing disappoints us is the saltiness of the pasta. We ordered the seafood pasta with urchin and clams. The ingredients were so good, but the sauce is just way too salty for us to bear. It was very nice of them to give us a complimentary beef pasta with tomato sauce, but again, extremely salty, a little bit more bearable. It might just be their style and decide to be a bit heavy on pasta, but not in my favor.
Other than the pasta, everything is just nice and what you would expect for a Michelin 1 star.
Shout-out to our server Jessie, and the whole front of house staff, who made this a really special birthday. Thanks for answering all our curious questions and for the gifts. Every little thing was so thoughtful, and it was honestly touching.
12/10 experience. Highly recommended.
This is one of the best Michelin experiences I’ve had in DC. It brings innovation to Italian food in ways I’ve never seen. The margherita risotto and deconstructed cannolis were fantastic and my favorites.
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back! They also helped celebrate my partner’s birthday and service was professional and easy to talk to.
It eclipses any other experience I’ve had in the U.S. to date. I am accustomed to this level of service in Europe, but in the U.S. you often pay considerable amounts and, unfortunately, the experience does not always meet expectations.
From start to finish, the experience and the story behind it were exceptional. The food was absolutely breathtaking.
Our highlights were the aperitivo counter snacks. For the main courses, the lamb was outstanding, the duck was exquisite, and the lobster was equally impressive.
The dessert was good, though not as memorable as the savory courses. The wine, however, was the true highlight of the evening.
The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always smiling — genuine smiles paired with real conversations, not just for show.
Thank you.
We can’t wait to return.
The food was truly outstanding. Each dish was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. The seasonal ingredients were fresh and expertly prepared, showcasing the creativity and skill of the kitchen. The pasta was a standout, perfectly cooked and balanced in flavor.
Overall, Fiola DC exceeded my expectations, making for a memorable and delightful evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in the city.
Food was ok… tasty but nothing I fell in love with imo (not to say everything was made great and flavor/textures were good)
Jeese was a really good waitress.
Their cocktails were also good/ok
A lot of michelins around so probably won’t be back
The oysters were our favorite dish
