We ordered takeaway and also went there a few times. Food is EXCELLENT. Prices in ST can be out of this world but that is not the case here. This is an example of how huge portions are. We were three people and we all took food home because we were so full.
It is true that you have to wait quite a long time for food though. We were supposed to have some appetizers and then our mains and after a long wait we asked the waitress. Unfortunately they sent everything all together which was not what we wanted. That is the only downside. The rest is great. The place is nice and our waitress was really sweet. Would for sure recommend.

I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it.

I came here for dinner and was thoroughly disappointed. I have been visiting Santa Teresa for over 20 years, and we make a point to try every restaurant in town at least once a year. This was, without question, the worst dining experience I have had this year, and it was absolutely not the Muzza I remember.

The service was unacceptable. After we placed our order, our server made every effort to avoid our table. We were ignored until the food arrived. When the meals were delivered, we asked for a side of hot sauce. After asking multiple times and never receiving it, we eventually gave up.

The Milanese with fries was inedible. The fries were soggy, and the milanesa itself was incredibly dry, so dry that it was genuinely difficult to eat. The dish also didn’t come with any sauce to even attempt to salvage it.

We also ordered the Italian sausage and fennel pizza, though I am convinced we were given the wrong pizza. It had a decent crust, but the toppings were extremely sparse. Large portions of the pizza had virtually no sauce or cheese. The sausage was barely present, equivalent to maybe half of one of those tiny breakfast sausages. As for the caramelized onions, they were not caramelized at all, but rather a few scattered green onion sprouts.

We also ordered the arugula salad. It was edible, but given how poor the rest of the meal was, it did not leave much of an impression. There are far better versions available elsewhere in town.

Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience, particularly given Muzza’s past reputation. After speaking with others, it appears that reputation is just that, a thing of the past.

Interesting exotic local beer served by our charming bartender Keyner. I had to.have more than one! Quick service and yummy wood fired pizza. A special little appetizer came free! We were there on an evening that featured live music.
Worth ‘running the gauntlet’ towards the north beach area of Santa Teresa.

For the amount of people that worked there, we had to repeatedly flag people down for service. The best part about our experience were our drinks, the Sodas.
Our app took very long to come out, I ordered a meat and cheese board for my boyfriend and I which took about 30 mins to get to the table.
When get got our pizzas, mine wasn’t edible.
I am gluten free (unfortunately) and was excited to eat at a spot that offered that option. However it wasn’t a pizza crust. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew that ( or if it said it on the actual menu ). I have no idea what that crust was made out of, but it wasn’t edible. My boyfriend ( not gluten free ) had to fork and knife his pizza because it was so doughy.
The people beside us were also complaining about the lack of service and had to send their food back to be cooked more.
For $130, this is not acceptable.

A very charming restaurant right by the road yet peaceful. The pizza was the best I had in my 3 weeks in Costa Rica. My girlfriend tried the spaghetti carbonara, which had a unique taste but was still quite enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly, creating a great atmosphere. They were also highly attentive, constantly checking in and promptly providing water as soon as ours was finished. The service was top-notch. The prices were very reasonable, and we even received a local appetizer as an extra touch. We would definitely eat there again.

The pizza here is absolutely incredible. The crust is soft and chewy and just perfectly done like an authentic Italian pizza. Try the spinach fritters with the leek mayo too, they were super unique and delicious!! Service was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

I don’t like beets but the beet hummus was GREAT! Each pizza was a little more than perfectly sized which made great leftovers the next day. The ingredients tasted fresh and the cost was reasonable. The environment was nice in the evening. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!
