Adam is a hit! Winter Garden has become so incredibly costly to the point of eating out being an absurd price tag for a family. However the Deli has kept fair pricing along with incredible food quality. Adam has served us or taken our order several times, and each time defines professionalism, positive attitude, and genuinely cares about the customer. It is places like the Deli, that create a community – not the chain like restaurants that have been moving in. We are thankful for this amazing lunch spot – try the chicken salad on rye, it’s amazing! Oh, and don’t forget the ginger cookies!

**UPDATE** So it appears I’ve struck a similar chord based on the owner’s response. BE WARNED ye who enter this sandwich shop: Those seeking “custom” sandwiches should find culinary competence elsewhere. I came here for years ordering this same sandwich and apparently my “custom” sandwich was too far outside the bounds of this establishment’s groundbreaking business model for making the most intricate of culinary designs (THE SANDWICH). Oh and I never got the mustard (or bread)

I had a really disappointing experience at The Daily Downtown and won’t be coming back.

I even called ahead to place a custom sandwich order so it would be ready when I arrived. Despite that, I still had to wait 45 minutes after getting there, which completely defeats the purpose of calling ahead in the first place.

To make matters worse, the staff was noticeably rude and dismissive the entire time. Simple questions felt like an inconvenience, and no one seemed interested in being helpful or apologetic about the long wait.

When I finally got my food, it wasn’t even made properly. The “sandwich” had an absurd amount of cheese — easily six times more than necessary — completely overpowering everything else. It was sloppy and nearly inedible. On top of that, they didn’t even use full pieces of bread on both sides, so it literally fell apart while trying to eat it. Hard to call something a sandwich when it’s missing actual bread.

Between the long wait, rude service, and poorly made food, it just wasn’t worth the money. Definitely not the quality or care you’d expect from a downtown spot.

Big sandwiches! Delicious and filling. I spent $21 for two sandwiches, which seems expensive, but I guess that’s normal. Gluten-free bread and soup are available, which was cool. Cute seating area outside and some inside seating as well. There’s a coffee shop attached that serves specialty coffee and offers coconut milk and oat milk as milk alternates. They sell a TON of liquid death water (lots of flavors) and have many sandwich options. I got the roast beef with gluten-free bread. Food was good and they give the BEST pickle in the world and a Hershey kiss in the bag. Nice little touch. If you’re looking for a hearty sandwich and soup, this is a great spot

Great Service, Great Food and Great Prices. Got the TBC with lettuce, tomato and onion, amazing! They don’t have ketchup but it is so good it doesn’t need it. Tomato soup was great, grilled cheese was okay. All in all, would come again when I’m in the area. Around $28 for 2 sandwiches, side, drink and a dessert. Great price

All their sandwiches are amazing. The chicken salad croissant is my favorite wish I had a picture to upload, but I always eat it too fast. Highly recommended.

A rustic, informal deli with seating inside and outside. Great sandwiches and other specialties. We went for a cup of a soup and sandwich. To our very nice surprise, they had gluten free soup and bread! We ordered the carrot ginger (nice but a bit bland) and the tomato soup, fllowed by a Gluten free Reuben (amazing!) And a Roast beef with horseradish sauce Everything was good. They bring the food in a paper bag with a little gift: chocolate Kisses. Nice touch!.

We loved this small, inviting deli with an excellent selection for plant-based, vegetarian, and vegan diners as well as gluten-free bread.
Emily was just the perfect hostess.
Highly recommended.

The atmosphere and service were great. We ordered the “Cuban” sandwich, but it was more “Cuban-ish” than Cuban. We’re Cuban this is not Cuban sandwich, it was good but we will try something else when we go back.

I ordered pick up online, and they gave me a completely wrong sandwich. Not even remotely close to what I ordered. I was on lunch break so I didn’t have the time to go back and get the correct sandwich. I called to voice my issue and not only did nobody pick up, but their voicemail wasn’t set up either. How convenient.

If I could give negative review I would. There’s nothing worse than expecting A, and receiving Y.
