I have order from them before. They quality is not consistent. One day is good rice next day its burn rice, next day it is rice that you can clearly tell is not fresh or same day. This not how a business is supposed to ran. These $50 to 100+ meals from people who work hard. This was especially frustrating because i order in the after to eat at night after work. Open it saw it was bad. Why would you serve bottom pot rice? its already hard rice. You easily tell from the color as someone who cooks! Also stop adding peas to the rices jollof in nigeria is not cooked like that and some people are allergic. I am going to start refunding it from the delivery

I went in late. 1hr to closing time. (8pm)
So, that might play a part in the freshness of food and level of service I got. So, please pay that in kind.

Typical Nigerian Restaurant.
Service wise and Food quality wise.
Of cos. I see non-nigerian giving it 5star. But this is just average.
It’s a very okay restaurant which can be a good one, even can be a great restaurant. “Michelin star restaurant prime location. Hidden gem. And unassuming. “
But no. They offer typical average naija service and food.

Picked up dinner tonight and it was delicious. A bit expensive compared to dining in Ghana but expected I would recommend and return. Call ahead to reduce wait time.

The wait time for food to be ready was over an hour and the front staff needs training on basic customer service skills. The vegetable soup and pepper soup tastes good. The jollof rice was very basic – tastes like canned tomato and seasoning. It didn’t taste like fresh peppers and tomatoes went into it. We got there around 5.40pm, the lady at the front desk had her back to us for over 5 minutes and when she finally attended to us, she said she thought we had already ordered food. Even if you thought a customer had already ordered and you see them waiting , courtesy demands you ask them if they need help with something. One would expect the starter to be ready on time so guests are not waiting endlessly for food. We waited for a total of over an hour, no starter, no main courses at that point we asked for the food to be packed as to go order because kids and grown up alike were tired of the waiting. The man finally brings out food as to go and we left. The food itself I’ll rate as ok, but the wait time and service level left a lot to be desired.

Love the ambience. The waitress was so kind and professional. The food was delicious! Everything we ordered was simply tasty! I will definitely come again! We ordered so many things: Efo riro with Pounded yam, Amala with Gbegiri and Ewedu, Catfish pepper soup, Coconut rice with chicken, and Goat meat pepper soup! I can’t complain. As you can see the plates were empty and we had to take home leftovers. We ordered so much food not knowing if we would like what we ordered and they delivered! Thank you to the Trices team.

This place is great everything is fresh made and owner is very nice. The menu has a lot of good options and one of the very few places in San Antonio that offer this authenticity. The homemade hibiscus shrink is so good and fresh.

Ok.. I need to be honest and candid, because I want to ensure my reviews are reputable.

I’ve been wanting to try African food for a WHILE and have seen a ton of videos of people eating fufu and wanted to try it for myself. I’ll start with this overall summary… it’s definitely an acquired taste! If you like ethnic foods like Mexican and Indian food, I think you’ll like this.

Most of our table ordered Joloff rice, because I think that’s the most accepted dish for unacquainted Americans. It’s a flavorful rice made with a tomato sauce and spices swerved with the meat of your choice. Expect it to be large pieces of meat. My wife got chicken and it was three huge drums with sauce. My brother in law got tilapia, and it was literally the whole fish chopped in two pieces, bones and all. The meat was tender and delicious though.

I wanted something with Fufu (a hammered yam dough-like ball that looks like bread and kind of has the consistency of a starchy or thick mashed potato), so they recommended the egusi soup. Wanting to really go authentic (since I love trying different foods from different cultures) I got the assorted meats, and in retrospect, I should have gone just beef or chicken. This had tripe in it, some other meat, and something I couldn’t even identify. Maybe a layer of lamb fat or something. I like menudo so I’m good with tripe, but maybe should have taken it a little easier on my first go round. You get a piece of the fufu, then soak it in the soup and grab some food, the eat it like that. Again, it really reminds me of Indian food, and I thought it was really good, but it wasn’t for everyone at the table. My wife isn’t quite as adventurous so it was a no for her. I ate every last bite lol

So I definitely recommend trying it if you’ve never had African food but are an adventurous eater and like to try new things! Service was friendly and nice and the food was awesome :o).

My family and I have been on the hunt for the perfect place to experience Fufu for the very first time, and we finally found it! This restaurant’s food is absolutely incredible! I was so stuffed, yet I couldn’t help but want to keep eating because every bite was simply delicious. We’re already planning our next trip from Cibolo because it was that good! If you’re nearby or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by for a bite—you don’t want to miss out! We can’t recommend it highly enough!

This was going to be my first time trying this type of food. There was only one other person in the restaurant. The server was not friendly at all. Not even offered a cup of water.

I expressed I was not familiar with the menu and she continue to ask “do you know what you want?” Not to mention the screaming baby the whole time I was waiting. Needless to say, I did not stay, and if the food was like the service, I’m sure I would be unhappy with it as well.

The food was great. Jollof rice like my mom makes. The egusi was good but there was too much egusi and not enough soup. I will definitely go back and I will recommend to anyone.
