Clam chowder so thick you could eat with a fork.
But the DESSERTS! mile high apple pie. With 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. If that doesn’t make you happy then I don’t know what will.
Be aware this place is cash only. They do have an ATM. Sometimes they get very busy so you may have to wait to be seated. It is worth it! They also have paintings hanging around the building that are available for purchase — they’re also cash only, so be prepared if that’s something you may want to buy.
The place is a bit dirty and run down looking, the staff- while attentive – were not especially friendly, ( an older woman, who was working harder than either of the other wait staff being the exception) especially to one of the children in our party.
One waitress could be seen eating in a food prep area and complaining about customers coming in while she ate, as she was unable to eat her food.
It was a peak business time, so perhaps in the future she may want to schedule her needs appropriately, I mean, honestly, is she there to work or eat ?
It took 35 minutes to get served. My home fries tasted old and my eggs were runny, the girls enjoyed niether their pancakes or their french toast, but liked the hot cocoa.
All in all an unpleasant dining experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend avoiding this establishment.
