This dinner was so special. We sat at the bar and the charming bartender assured us that we could get nice sized raw oysters. He spoke to the oyster shuckers and then presented us with the most beautiful dozen you can imagine.
We were sitting overlooking a harbor of boats…lovely setting My house champagne was 6$ per glass. Perfect price for the pour and delicious. The beer is not overpriced.
We had a Ceasar that was nice followed by shrimp and oyster platter with cheese grits. The cheese grits were sinful so crusty and good. Seafood large and fried perfectly.
When we were done there was a good band on the roomy wooden dock downstairs that was populated with families and nicely behaved people. The area is huge and comfortable.
Just can’t say enough nice things about this place.

The raw oysters were so amazing. I went in mid May too. They were huge, clean, and shucked perfectly. Shoutout to the fisherman and the shucker. Y’all know what y’all are doing and need a raise!! Happy Hour deals are a steal. I didn’t take a pic of the HH menu though. Our server disappeared for a bit, but outside was veryyy busy, so maybe that’s why. She still did a great job and was very nice! I will definitely be back!

I guess they get one star for the nice location and views. I was literally the only customer the whole time I was there which should have been a sign. Ordered “gulf” shrimp and, aside from being overcooked to the point of being jerky, they tasted like bad tap water that has WAY too much chlorine. Not sure how you make shrimp taste like bleach but they did. Most of the fries could have been used as nails except for a few that were raw. Hushpuppies were actually good until I dipped them in the ketchup that had gone bad. Just a horrible experience. Usually I would refuse to pay for that and make them replace it but, honestly, I didn’t trust them to get anything right. I was the only customer there (see photos) with like 7 employees and they STILL screwed it up. No excuse.

Dog friendly! We like going to the Blue Crab, especially on a weekend afternoon for a drink and some oysters. It’s really nice if you can sit on the covered patio and watch the boats pass. We do find the music to be loud if there’s a live band, but if you sit at one of the tables farthest from the band, it’s certainly tolerable. Also, try the hush puppies and get your fries extra crispy. Their ranch dressing is amazing!

First time at this spot and it was really great.
The view was great and it doesn’t matter where you sit, there is a view of the water is beautiful and the natural light in the restaurant is great!
The restaurant was exceptionally clean and the service was outstanding. Our server, Sarah was very attentive and friendly.
The food was very scrumptious. Really fresh and savory. The shrimp was very delicious with that Buffalo sauce and it was nice and golden. I also had the chargrilled oysters, which was some of the best I’ve ever had. Very flavorsome, even my husband who doesn’t eat them enjoyed the one I gave him .
My husband had the fried fish platter, which was also golden and tasty. The hushpuppies were big, flavorful and moist.
Not sure why I haven’t been here before, but it’s definitely a place to revisit.

We love The Blue Crab in the Northshore. They are conveniently located in Eden Isles and we can get there by boat. The happy hour oyster deal is awesome. Get there between 4 and 6 PM.

Beautiful location! Make sure you use Google maps it is hidden from the main road. We had the raw and charbroiled oysters. WOW they were great! The charbroiled were our favorite. They are less than half price during happy hour, but I believe they’re worth full price because they are that good.

Nice view of the lake. But food was lack of flavor. We ordered the fried flounder stuffed with crab meat. It looks like they dont waste no money on seasoning. The flounder came with no flavor at all, just the little bit from the crab meat on top.
My side was cracked cheese corn meal… NOT FLAVOR EITHER! The only thing i can say that we liked was the parmesano calamari. It was fresh and tasty. The best I had in a long time. I liked the atmosphere and friendly-courteous waitress.

Absolute hidden gem down by the water. The food was amazing and the whole staff was great! I recommend getting here to watch the sunset and the boats come in. So much parking!! I highly recommend.
