Love this spot since they opened about 7 years ago I believe. It’s so
great to have a shaved ice spot this close to home. Portion size is extremely good for the price. The customer service is on-point. Their staff are extremely friendly and always smiling.
The shaved ices are really good. I’m pretty sure I’ve been here at least 30 times. I’ve tried more combinations than I can recall. But everything single shaved ice I’ve had has been good. My go-to is the egg custard with marshmallow. B-more folks know what it is.
I’ve seen/heard folks complain about the wait to receive their orders, but what do you expect on the hottest days of the summer? This isn’t a large scale chain ice cream or Italian ice business with unlimited staff and space. Many of the staffers are young folks learning and getting experience. I believe this may be a first job for the high schoolers. Please cut them some slack. Many individual folks step up to the window and order multiples. It takes time to get these orders done. The staff at Houey’s are doing great!! Show love to our young folks doing their best.
This past Sunday night I witnessed a family show up 10 full minutes after they closed. The brotha pulled up on the parking lot with urgency and had 3 small kids with him. You could tell he was rushing. He knocked and someone opened the window slightly ajar. The man asked the young person at the window if they could be served. What happened over the next 10 mins? The staff took care of him and those kids with shaved ice even after they closed. Where do you see that happen? That father and those kids were overjoyed. That’s what good business is all about. As a former worker at an ice cream spot in my teens over 20 years ago & ready to clock out, I’d a probably been upset. But that’s not the point. Ha. I bet that father and those kids will remember that moment. I respect how the staff handled it.
They just added a canopy for shade above the benches which assures that customers don’t have to sit with the hot sun beaming on them. That was a great addition!!

Houey’s Shaved Ice is great! They had plenty of flavors to pick from and good customer service and prices.
The reason why I don’t give them 5 stars because the storefront is not very wheelchair accessible, I saw a lady who complained about that while ordering, a small detachable ramp needs to be added for easier accessibility, so everyone can order comfortably.

Best Shaved Ice in the area. My favorite shaved ice is in Balitmore and this comes very close.
The ice is very smooth and they have great flavor options as well as topping (get the marshmallows). Prices are good as well but to get more than one flavor you have to spend 50 cent.
Overall the the prices, options and smooth ice make this a must visit.

I’m probably the pickiest person when it comes to dessert! I loveee ice cream but am really iffy when it comes to shaved ice. This was my first time here and I was expecting that thick crushed ice. Looking at the flavors, I thought they wouldn’t be able to pull it off but I was mistaking BIG time.
I love sweet flavors. I got the red velvet and birthday cake. I can’t even describe how savory it was. And that even isn’t the right word but it escapes me because it was just that good! They also have picnic tables outside so you can order and eat there with the family.

Houey’s Shaved Ice has it all! They actually made me happy and reminiscent about my homeland when I discovered that they had Guava and Tamarind flavors! Thanks for providing such sweet treats!

They have many different flavors to choose from (and toppings). I tried the key lime, strawberry cheesecake and root beer. All flavors were good. The flavors are favorable and don’t disappear after first bite, good to the last drop. Reasonably priced. Great customer service. Highly recommend!!!

This shaved ice stand is awesome! Fast and plenty of flavors! I had to get my favorite eggcustard and tutti fruity…sooooo good! Nice and fluffy, soft and just the right amount of juice!

I love going to Houey’s Shaved Ice, you can get whatever flavor you want that day. On this visit I had the monster size, lol with cherry, lime, grape with gummy bears. The ice is so refreshing on a hot day and on cooler days as well. The staff members are very nice and your order is ready quickly. Thanks
