Great food at a very reasonable price. The staff were kind, patient, and made the visit even better. This spot is definitely a solid choice for both lunch and dinner.

This is based on a takeout order of pupusas – ordered ahead of time (about 25min wait), got there and still had to wait 10 more minutes, which wouldn’t have been a big deal if the order hadn’t been wrong. I got my order, confirmed that it was what we asked for, get home, and the order was wrong. Annoyed, but wouldn’t have been a big deal if it tasted good. The pupusas were dry and flavorless, tasted like toasted tortillas. We called to let them know the order was wrong, the owner answered and hung up on us when we told her the order was wrong. We called back twice in case it was a mistake, but the calls weren’t answered.
I gave two stars for the food because I also ordered an atol de elote which was really good.

As a bonus, the gigantic plates of hearty food are also delicious. Open early, and known for their breakfasts and bakery, La Chapinita was well populated when we had our meal here.

UPDATED REVIEW:
I went in again today and had the best dish today. They have upgraded with their seasoning so now its a 10/10. They had just baked too and their bread was so soft. My favorite one out of all them was the cream cheese filled croissant.

It was alright. A little bit more seasoning would perfect the dish. I’m giving it a 4 star review because of the atole de platano, tamales and service.
